Had a project few weeks ago where i wanted to modify my bandsaw to be table mount, the saw i have doesn't fit the mounts that are out there so figured i would make my own,
well i got it done but it really kind of sucked, it worked but the holes were crooked and when i tapped them it was not the best fit,
So instead of just buying a real band saw for couple hundred dollars, i decided that mini mil would be the hot ticket, actually it is, ive never used a mil before, but you tube is your friend and its kind of fun, With the precision you can get i ended up changing the plan a couple times but it works and even thou it doesn't look any different when built i feel better about it. Even thou it took me the whole dam day to do something most people probably would have knocked out in 20 minutes, also turns out if you use the correct tap it works way better 10/24 and 12/24 are different taps it turns out :) ( guess i need to wear my glasses when trying to read those numbers)
Need to find something else to make, plus went down the rabbit whole on welding on you tube so that might be next,

That looks cool !! 👍

I like it. I’m also thinking about making my own Swag style band saw table.

So Dan, Question for ya -

What do you do for a living?

Seems like all of a sudden ( since winning the drawing for all those pack outs ) your posting work stuff and tools !

I love it !! I love buying a new whatever …. But I’m curious 👀

That's pretty cool. Now you need a lathe to complement it.

Damn you are nuts, but the good kind of nuts!

I have tools and shop equipment in 5 places and one service truck (that weighs 35,000 lbs) and I am impressed by your tool buying……
Thanks. since most of my tools that i've collected my whole life are gone ( long story) I'm trying to get tools that make sense for me, and since ive cut down on spending the days at a bar and have lots of free time its been fun hunting for things and organizing.

I do video projection for the studios, led screens etc, My company that rents video gear is tied up in court so just doing whatever work i can, but it was embarrassing going to job sites without proper gear, so those packouts just kind of gave me the push i needed to rebuild. i had no idea how far the battery powered tool market had evolved.
Since i don't have a shop or even a garage anymore the packout works great for me, just grab the cases i think ill need for the job.

Well picked up a table saw this week for a killer deal so needed to figure out a way to fit it into the packout system, took a little doing but came out better than i expected, since it now has packout connections top and bottom i can put it anywhere in the stack and whatever height i want.
And as a bonus the top of the table saw is now protected when not in use. i was just doing a project and put the vacuum under the table saw, then connected the dust collector port direct to vacuum and worked sweet and was at a great height for me
the two drawer on the bottom has plenty of room for the accessories for the saw,
