Never been a huge Bowie or Crosby fan, but this always puts me in my Grandma's living room in her house in Glendora. Giant console TV, tree with bubbling lights and metallic ornaments...excited about Christmas, not a care in the world.

which I can't believe took me 60 yrs to realize.....the guy with the deep voice who sings the OG version of Mr Grinch was also the voice of Tony the Tigers famous "they're Great" saying.

Merry Christmas, Baby Please Come Home - A great song, originally recorded by Darlene Love, of the Blossoms and numerous other groups. The song was produced by Phil Spector. A recent Christmas TV musical special had Cher singing lead on this song, with Darlene singing background. Ironically, 60 years ago Cher sang background in that Spector recording session for Darlene. I've met Darlene Love. Our band backed her up a few times, back in the day. Amazing talent and a true lady. She's now 82 and she sang circles around Cher on that recent TV broadcast.
