Just read there was a fatal boat accident on the river in Needles late today...
Possible hit and run, one fatality. 2 boats involved.

Read it on Facebook from Zachnews, which isnt exactly the best news site. Anyone hear or know anything?

Can't find anything. Just googled it and saw it twice, once from Zachnews and once from ur post on RDP. Can't find anything else though

Zachnews,now saying 2 dead, happened just above the Needles bridge and first responders handled 5 injured from Needles Marina Park. 6pm last nite.

No it's not. A lot of people like to haul ass under the bridge because it feels cool. Not saying that's what happened but I see it all the time.

Under the 40 is now a no wake. Needles bridge is the next one up.

No the needles bridge. There is no speed limit through there. I40 bridge has a speed limit. I would imagine that just the presence of bridges on a waterway can be a hazard. Hell people just run into them sometimes.

Looks similar to my buddies old stoker, but the engine looks too bulky to be a 2.5 merc. Trailer also appears to be orange. His was red. Sad to read...

Sad deal... Could be wrong, but guessing that's not the boats trailer. Looks like it's resting on the frame, not bunks.

The boat on the left is a 21' Schiada River Tunnel, My Ex and I ordered it brand new in 1996 with a 500HP - I sold it 12 years ago or so (the peeps I sold it to also sold it a few years back).....Very Sad Deal!!!

My buddy that has a place up there called me today in tears to tell me that his friend Danny had been killed in his boat this weekend. I was under the impression that it happened today, but it looks like it was last night.
Yes, Danny bought that Schiada off of another friend a few years back, it used to belong to the Heald's who bought it about 12 years ago. Such a shame. The Schiada from what I heard also had a dad with two twin little boys on it.

That is our old Stoker. Sold it about 2 years ago to a guy from Willow Valley also. My dad has tried calling him but has been unable to reach him. Prayers to all involved.

This has not been a good end to the boating season. I have two unrelated ocean boating incidents, with three dead, about to hit my office this next week for two insurance companies. Hope the children in addition to all adults had proper vests on.

That is/was Jim Brick's boat. They're on Canadian. I'm not sure if he ever sold it. Haven't talked with them in a while. Wow, I hope they're ok. I'll have to get in touch with the family.

I just got in touch with the family, they sold the boat.
