That time is about right. Did you see the accident or see a report of it? Tragically, this was a grandson of friends of ours.
There are reports of the accident on FB. Havasu scanner feed and Havasu community pages

There's video of the accident scene on FB. Skidmarks going hard left and vehicle upside down out in the desert. The driver was ejected.

Thank you. That’s likely the site of the tragic accident. The skid marks could appear he was trying to avoid another vehicle? The vehicle he was driving was not his. Not recognizing the vehicle, my friends, his grandparents, saw and drove right by the tragic site. Devine Intervention on Christmas Day?

I don't want to wrongly speculate, but it breaks my heart when there is a fatal ejection. It's almost certain they are the result of not wearing a seatbelt. Cars have never been safer, and even in extreme accidents the airbags and restraint system can perform miracles.

I constantly worry about my soon to be seventeen year old grandson. He's a knucklehead, like most teenagers, and even though he swears he's always belted in, I know how significant peer pressure is.

My condolences to the family. It's a hard thing to bear.

A tragic loss for the parents and grandparents. Only made worse by the holiday's annual reminder now. In a way though, I am hoping he was headed towards a family get together, so no one was alone when they received the news.

Sure seems like quite a few fatalities right there. People hauling ass and/or passing and people turning out onto 95.

There’s been some recent mention of Downey CA on RDP. His grandparents are both from Downey. I’ve known the grandmother since 2nd grade. They are river people and have been coming to the lake and river for many years. Just an unimaginable tragedy.

Hey, i was there when the crash first happened, driver was speeding at about 120kph flying past me, he swerved off the road and flipped 3 times, he was ejected. I attempted CPR along with 2 other gentleman. If anyone has any information about him or his family. I would like to get in contact so I can give my condolences.

Sad deal. Given all the protective air bags etc, assume wearing a seat belt may have saved his life? Did you have to make a u-turn on 95 to get back to him? I see you just now joined RDP?

If he had a seat belt unfortunately I still believe he wouldn’t have made it out of that one, his car was really not in good shape, radiator itself was about 50 yards from the vehicle he was ejected about 30 yards, the car was smushed after rolling 3 times. And no I didn’t have to make a u-turn, he was far enough ahead of me that I could stop in time.

He was the oldest grandson of one of my closest friends. She says you have already talked with her son and his mother but she would like to talk to you as well. Is there a way I can get your contact information for her?
