F-35's Cooling Crisis: Design Flaws Fuel $2 Trillion Dilemma For Pentagon

teaser image
The Pentagon is facing a difficult decision regarding the F-35’s chronic, crippling problems with overheating brought on by its insufficient cooling capacity...

SAT NOV 23, AT 12:10 PM

If truth be told, the capabilities crammed into the F-35 would have made sense for a two-engine design. However, changing the F-35 to a twin-engine design was a no-go because it would have immediately dispelled the illusion that the F-35 was going to be a low-cost replacement for the F-16.

Who's the laundered money recipient in this fiasco?

"Low-cost replacement"...relative term I guess. Honestly, when running up the tally that much over initial cost estimates, as long as it were delivered as sold the public would be fine. The plane is an engineering feat, and does everything (I believe) it was intended to, with the exception of being durable. It sounds like it is basically a high end sports car, does what it's supposed to, but maintaining it is costly and time consuming.

I hope they get it sorted out. They're a ton of money in, but the hot rod they have needs finishing.

Almost everything is going unmanned. The F35 will be phased out when program “wingman” comes online.

Here’s the lead. 😉👉

NGAD is dead

F-35 block 4 will become the new air dominance fighter in the future. 8 internal aim-260s will make it a slayer. If they include the new cycle jet engine it will be faster as well

I would guess that SpaceX could have this figured out in short order based only on what they have done with the Raptor engines.

2 Trillion dollars? WTF? What an absolute joke.
