So after the summer has come and gone, I want to do quite a bit of work to my 20'. Redo floors, throw in the blower motor, Add a 2nd battery, new hatch, new cav and throttle pedals, and rewire the boat.

The 20' sits pretty low in the water right now. With 5 people in the boat, she sits as low as my old flatty. If I take the weight of the boat now, add a blower, inner cooler, battery, and hatch, will this be to much weight?

It will be fine Andrew.. Put the batteries up closer to the back seat if your're worried about it.

Lots of 20's with blower motors, and they sit / run fine.

Perfect. Thats all I am looking for. I've talked to Tony about mix matching the 540 in the boat now with the blown 518 that I have sitting in my garage. He is going to build a meeean motor for the 20'. :party2:

The boat looks to sit pretty well right now, what will happen is if you have a lot of weight in the back of the boat, and a very light bow, it will sit bow high, which makes the boat sit very low at the transom. The way it sits now the boat looks like it would be fine with no hatch.
