Lake Tahoe is the clearest it's been in decades in big part due to the lack of snow and runoff.
So...is that good...or bad?
I'll be up there July 13-20th if anyone wants to come by for a beer....and possibly take me for a boat ride if I don't have one yet.:grumble:
... Spent a couple of weeks in Tahoe in November looking for real estate ...looked at many homes...dollar for dollar I can get a better home in Tahoe in exchange for the money that I get from my house in North Hollywood I can also take my very minimal property taxes from North Hollywood and transfer them to Tahoe... Per a tax agreement between Los Angeles county and El Dorado County... I'm going back up in May to give it a more serious look...funny thing although I own four boats I didn't even look at the water...

YUP, that is awesome news about the clarity. UC Davis has been providing increasingly good news since over 2010 like you indicated. The way they test it is by dropping a 10" white disk in the water and then measure the level at which it can be seen. This year measured 77.8' deep! Yes that's feet!:yikes:yikes Lake Tahoe is the clearest it's been in decades in big part due to the lack of snow and runoff.
How is that even possible? LOL.:headscratch: What areas in Tahoe are you looking at moving to?
I have always wanted to boat there. I have been there a few times but never boating. Looks like a great lake.
...Wait a minute I'm going to look up what the tax laws are and what the numbers are...I wasn't going to post this as it is pretty much for seniors plus I want all of Tahoe for myself, but this is a good bunch... LOL...
What I meant is how do you go Tahoe without seeing the Lake itself???
Sweet. I thought the 1031 deal was only within the same county.

Not to be a buzz-kill,
but not sure if you have heard about the movement to 'park' the official Secchi Disk (the 10' white disk) in favor of a new measurement process that is in 'official draft form' call the 'Near Shore Water Protection Plan'. The plan officially started last year, so be on the lookout for a new type of monitoring that will take hold. I believe it is based on the water quality of up to 350' from shoreline or 69' of water to track the near-shore environment/ water quality covering 38 categories from Temp, Nitrogen, sulfate, boron, ph, conductivity, clorine, oil, grease, e-coli ...etc, ya get the picture.
So, hang-on for a full analysis of what they want to present to the public coming soon.
Tahoe real estate prices are skyrocketing, I would make that move sooner than later.

I think they should drink it and see what color it pisses out. :grumble:
You think about it:
If you don't stir up the water in your toilet it's clear, if you piss or shit in it it's all fucked up
What do you think Tahoe is going to do? Doesn't take a scientist to figure that one out!
Pay me to drop my dick in the water and I'll tell you how clear it is.
It was anowing pretty good in the Sierras yesterday...unfortunately it was only 1 day. This was Soda Springs off hwy 80 (near Donner Summit).

... Like I just posted,...Google propositions 60 and 90 Los Angeles county tax assessor...many counties do this not just to Tahoe but they allow you to take your own property taxes from certain counties to other counties...
Were you up there to?...i was just down the road from you look up a couple posts
