Yup, used to go trout fishing up there in the 70s when in high school. Beautiful spot back then, haven't been up there since.

That looks really nice. I'll have to search that out more.

On a side not Joe, your favorite lake....
Elsinore...is cleaning up nicely I'm told by a friend in the area. He says you can see the bottom in a foot or more of water. They installed a water cleaning system that is working really well. Just thought you'd like to know.

I've been following the updates, it's Almost at the highest level it's ever been!

A lot of beaches are history now, and the water actually looks pretty good 👍🏼

IF they could keep it this way, that would be Awesome for sure.

I try to stay away from places that are known to have serial killers... 🤣

Actually camped there once in the early 90's. Don't remember too much about that weekend... 🍻

Well, to be fair, if it's at the highest level it's ever been, it's because they put a levee up and made it about 1/3 smaller.

I thought Crystal Lake had been burned all the way around a couple of years ago. I must have been mistaken.

My buddy has the dubious distinction of owning a very special house over on the Ortega side of the lake. His house is documented to be the very first house that will flood when the lake really gets full. But he got a great price on his place, and has been there almost 20 years now.

I miss that old place that burned down a Long time ago. It was right after one of the hairpin turns. There were some cabins and a place to get lunch, right at a small water fall.

We would right the bikes up there (I think I had my kawi triple at the time), have lunch, get drunk, and race back down the mountain.

I have no Clue why I'm still alive!

🤣
