IDK though, it was a little corny but maybe because the guy(s) running the joint was a total nerd.....high school drama club nerdy.
Would I go again? Not unless the wife tells me it's some sort of topless Vegas themed room for the two of us.......and at that point I ain't gonna try to hard to get out .....lol

Check that link I posted above. They put you in a room, with hidden clues on how to get out. Getting out, usually leads you to another room where the challenges get harder and harder. The link above, 60out, refers to the time you have to complete the challenge (60 minutes) and, well, escape!

If you like doing puzzles and mind games and shit, you'll probably enjoy it, especially with the right group of friends! If trying to figure shit out just pisses you off, it's probably NOT the game for you.

My boss's son was just here. He said he did one where you were in jail, and, their were people next to you (that worked there) that were in a jail cell too. The challenge was to get out before they did, and then did evil things to you! lol

I think the johnny come lately's are probably just going to suck. The ones that have been around for awhile, and know what they are doing, are the ones where you will really have a good time at.

That's why I'm asking if anyone has been to one, and actually did have a great time!

No, one local to us in Oceanside. It had 3 different rooms.
Now that I've been to one I see them all over the place. Mostly in little strip malls.

I will say, it does make you think outside of the box to find the next clue(s)....so good for some cerebral exercise.

My buddy at work did the Escape Room in Brea over the Xmas break with his adult son and daughter and their husband and wife. They had a great time enjoying there time together trying to figure out how to get out of each room as a group. I guess they could have done what some families do and play card / board games all night at home during the holidays, but they decided to change things up and do something different. Shame on them.
