Metabolife and hydroxycut were the big ones I remember. Shit was crazy!
I still take hydroxycut before my workouts. I know it’s not the same but is less consuming than a cup of coffee.

Ah yes. Late 90s HS football. Dudes popping handfuls of pills and spraying their jerseys with PAM. And going out to kill. Sharpened fingernails to gouge out eyeballs. And beating the shit outta guys in the piles. Good times.

Not to mention smoking a blunt before a game or practice. Lmao.

After my divorce, unrelenting sex and lack of sleep did the weight loss trick for me.

I swear I know what a buck in rut feels like after that 12 months or so. I’m not sure I could do it again or even would wish to…

I know….humble brag thread. I’m not saying all of them were ones I’m proud of!

I took this at the end of 2003 just trying to lose some weight since I was going through a divorce and had to "go back on the market". Man that shit worked fantastic. Lost like 25 pounds in just a couple of months without doing anything else.

Has anyone found anything that is comparable?

Yes I have been going to the gym. Yes I have been fasting. Yes I have stopped snacking but age and diabetes has a way of killing metabolism.
If you have not already get your testosterone levels checked….

Reminds me of Fen Phen. My friend lost her dad to it, and got a pretty large payday.

Get your free testosterone checked if your diet is dialed in.

I’ll be 63 on my next Birthday. I’ve been up and down most of my adult life. I think I’ve been on every diet known to man. Keto, Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, South Beach, Golds Gym ( every Morning for 6 months) but the weight always came back with a vengeance.

Frankly, im getting old and was concerned about my longevity. As a result, I had a sleeve gastrectomy on May 6th (of this year) at UCLA. They essentially removed 80% of my stomach.

As of this Morning I am down 68.1 lbs.

Although there were some complications forcing me to stay in the hospital for a few days, I truly believe it is one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself. I’m walking several miles everyday now, I’m eating healthy (but essentially what I want) and am feeling awesome. Im down 6 pants sizes.

The surgery forces you to reduce intake. I just feel full (and satisfied) after a few bites of food. it’s turned out to be an amazing tool for me.

I have not been this thin in over 35 years and am looking to get into the 190s by the end of the year.

Watch this movie !

This nothing new and Many of you already know that what our awesome, trustworthy Govt calls a healthy diet is purely what it lobbied to them to call "healthy"

The Food Pyramid ? How is that working out for you America ?

Save your money on the snake oil pills.

Lift HEAVY. Tabata or HIIT for cardio.

If you can tolerate it . . . best way is to do 'Hot Yoga' . . 90 minutes of sweating your ass off in a room of flexy hot chicks.
Best workout ever and doesn't fuck up your joints & shit.
