I agree if you read my 1st post you’d see that!

But how many 18-24 year olds do you think see past the $20 hr sign on the door?

Another thing you didn’t factor in since you’re quoting me is tips! I know my niece makes $200-$400 a day in tips at the coffee shop she works at!
So to get that 5 day work we pay she really only needs to work 2.5-3 days a week when you factor in tips.

I said it in my original post. I went out and took a job for $6.25 an hour learning a skill/trade and turned it into a career. What I didn't mention was I left a lazy ass coffee shop job my brother got me when he left for college. I couldn’t stand working with those dang coffee shop people! The grumpiest college kids/graduates you’ll ever meet!
My response was tied to your statement you made about benefits. That was not 100% accurate.

So many jobs at coffee shops fast food restaurants and other that start at that amount and also have health benefits along with college tuition reimbursements.

All during high school I worked restaurants - tips are amazing. During college and the first few years after I started my corp job, I worked college bars. I get the tip thing. I averaged a grand plus a week in tips working the bar slinging drinks. Best job ever, but bar and restaurants can be traps. Huge drug and alcohol abuse issues. You have to be very disciplined to avoid those traps IMO.
