It is going to cost Elon a lot of cash! I have not seen the contract but most have very expensive off ramps.

My back of the envelope read is that Musk executed a purchase agreement with NO INSPECTION CONTINGENCY. Like buying a house without the customary inspection contingency. Some people do it in a hot market, but they are stuck if they try to walk.

I agree this will likely end in a settlement before court, but Musk is back peddling on this one if my understanding is correct.

If Twitter is under the thumb of NSLs their lying about bots is protected under the guise of National Security.

This is almost surely what is going on given the perceived influence of the platform worldwide. The government Intel and security agencies are surely using it under those means, if they aren't they are fools.

Why is Isis, Taliban, Al Qaeda allowed on the platform but Trump not? Hmmmmmm

My guess is the two parties will resolve their differences by renegotiating at a lower sale price in court.
But, Musk has 20 days to respond to the suit and if he draws them out that far the valuation of the company could deteriorate even further to the downside.
Right now TWTR is about $2.75 a share away from a fresh new 52 week low.
Surely, Musk's lawyers will be digging far & deep for any material errors or inaccuracies in TWTR's Form 10-K (s).
Should get interesting.

So far, my hunch was right. Like was stated by others, he is 10 steps ahead of the twatters. I don’t see it ending well for them. As it should be.

I tried that several times as have friends. No 'service request' selection for any of us for home solar. I think yours may be for cars.
Keep getting text that we have trouble with the inverter and to go to support in the app and then request service. Nope,, nuttin.'
