This last weekend was Eliminators second annuals Mohave run.. It is a great time with casinos, a banquet, losers lounge party, gambling and a very early morning.. coupled with two very late nights..

Last year it was a trial run and they had around twenty boats that were invited. This year there was roughly 50 boats (mostly eliminators) with a 28 skater, a Doug Wright and my Hallett mixed in as well.

The prop slip on this Hallett I bought is absolutely crazy.. I have some five blades coming to try and rectify the problem.. These things aren’t hooking up at all at any speed..

I’m not sure why it surprises me anymore as I have literally never bought a boat that works right out of the gate.. when we are done we should add about 20-25 mph to the top end and cut plane times in about a third..

I can’t think of one that I have sold that wasn’t dialed in and running perfect..

I coulda messed around with the pontoon a little more and got another 4mph out of it but the costs didn’t outweigh the benefits
RD

Yea but you are River Dave. If your boats weren’t dialed in you would be Riverwhips Dave. 😂

If I was RiverDave, I would test run a used boat before buying it (and maybe look at what motors are in it). 😇

Back to Eliminators weekend tho! I am looking forward to seeing more from it!

I already have a set of five blades sitting on my porch and two more sets on the way for testing..

The other part of that is just numbers.. when someone makes the offer I got you say yes..

Whats the deal with getting a pic with the dam in the background? When I've been up there in the past there is an audible voice that comes on a speaker (I think) telling you to stay back.

How did Double Down run with the Ilmor drive? That thing is badass

Also I may be old school but I really love seeing "Eliminator" written on the boat. Everything about it just feels right. Not too big a fan of that "E" logo, but not everyone is old school like me. Does remind me of BMW M though which you can't go wrong with! Cool boats

It runs about 90mph from What I understand. Mark really likes it!

He drives the piss out of that thing. When he’s on it sounds like a raped ape passing you. It’s a bad bitch
It’s loud and has a pretty nasty start up too. Love me an LS.

Really? That didn’t happen to us. But then we were a single boat looking at the dam midweek.

Maybe they get nervous if a whole fleet shows up.

We set it off getting too close, I believe it’s manually set off as soon as we started backing away they turned it off.
There was a guided tour boat right on the buoy line they did not have the alarm going off for them. (Ofcourse they probably have approval)

They should do the same for kayakers when this run is going on LOL, there was about 150 of them spread out for miles past willow marina, I’m sure some shit their pants when 50 kitty’s came around hauling ass 🤣
50 Kitties 😼 hell yeah! I knew a guy he always had a different cat name for his "cats". Actually he was an Eliminator guy.. Maybe that's you LOL. I know he had one that had to do with a wet puss, and also a foxy kitty if I recall!

Rob have you got a new sled since you sold the Daytona? If not what’s on your horizon?

When we went up there we were pretty much by ourselves with one tour boat up by the log boom.. they set off the alarm.. the tour guy said we had to turn back. I wanted to ask him
What special privileges he has that I don’t, but it was pretty loud and I don’t think he would have heard me.

Boats are not allowed north of Willow Beach on Sundays and Mondays.
Correct...

Between Labor Day and Friday of Memorial Day Weekend (Tuesday through Saturday)
The water from Hoover Dam to Willow Beach is managed as a semi-primitive zone. Personal watercraft remain prohibited. Boating is restricted to vessels with 65-horsepower engines or less.

BC-Restrictions-2

Between the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day (Tuesday - Saturday)
The water from Hoover Dam to Willow Beach is managed as a rural-natural zone. During the busy boating season there are no horsepower restrictions and PWCs are allowed.

Ah well maybe we didn’t go up far enough. I was concerned for my 6 drive and propeller so I got as far as this and turned around.

The water is so damn clear it’s hard to judge the depth. The 30 has a depth finder but it’s off the transom so no early warning system.

I have not, just keeping my eyes peeled for now, leaning towards a toon for a couple seasons while the kids are still little. May end up liking it too much and going toon for the long term 🤷🏼‍♂️lol

Question

Did they get a permit
The fun police sure had a issue with the CC OG run
Or do most think it was just bad info given to the lake popo

34 Hallett?

It ran well when I got it and sold it.. the only thing I did was have the props cleaned up.

One of the kegs could have been fixed but overall the boat was a 9.9.. I also only owned that boat 11 days.

Growing up my family usually boated Lake Mojave out of Katherine’s but never made the full run, Willow was the furthest I’ve gone. Eliminator and Riverside Casino did a great job at making the event smooth, safe, and fun!

Dave touched on this earlier but for those who didn’t know, or missed the memo.
This was a permitted event for around 50 boats I forgot the exact number, Eliminator posts about it on their social media and leaves it up to the community to spread the word, once registration opens up it’s just about sold out in about 2-3 days and because of the permit registration closes once boat capacity is met. Plans are to keep it around the same date so add it to your calendar now! This is also open to anyone, not only Eliminators, but naturally it gets filled up with mostly Eliminators.

I didn’t take many but here are some pics I took.
