lol, the owner must have read the comments of people complaining about his double axel.

He spared no expense on this boat!

Haha I wouldn’t put it past some people to change an order based off online opinions.

White trailer was a loaner till the Adrenaline was completed. This boat was always going on a triple axle Adrenaline trailer.

I know, I was joking around lol. I figured that trailer was ordered a while ago to be done already.

Sorry to drag this up again. Your last video shows getting on plane pretty quick and accelerating up well. How is low/midrange cruising? Does a true tunnel tend to hop at lowish (30mph) speeds more than a center pod? Can you just cruise around at 40mph? Curious to understand the compromises to consider of a true tunnel vs center pod.

Here’s my opinion of what I feel driving either one.

Conditions change a lot of things for both the center pod and true tunnel version but they both match up pretty close on their characteristics and handling. They are not wildly different. Conditions meaning everything; water, load, wind, etc.

At those speeds the center pod version is better but the true tunnel is not bad at all.
45mph and bellow turning the true tunnel leans a little bit out or stays flat, center pod does the same but the seat of the pants feeling is better and smoother in the pod version at those speeds. 50mph and above both versions turns flat or leans in a bit. Transition/hop speed zone is pretty close to each other.
Rough water the 255 does very good for its size, the true tunnel 255 does it quite a bit better, it does outstanding actually!
We added a fixed full width tunnel tab to the true tunnel boat to help pack some air better/sooner and that made a huge improvement. Yes it still has a transition zone in the mid range, and it did not change the handling at higher speeds all the way to top speed.

I feel that if you wanted to use your 255 for full on 100% pleasure boating or wanted an open bow, the pod version.
If you do a mix of pleasure boating but don’t particularly care so much about water sport stuff and towing tubes and you prefer more spirited driving and want a 25’ twin outboard cat that can handle most rough days in Havasu, full tunnel.

Thanks, exactly the kind of insight I was looking for.

For whatever it’s worth, I did this just for you Dave. I walked around the shop on my break and I went and measured an 8” Porta. Here’s the arching measurement differences of setback in 3 different settings; down 8”, 1/2 way 7 1/2”, max up 6 3/4”.

That seems like a lot of setback to me?

Ya maybe it is, maybe it isn’t. But every boat model and manufacturer reacts differently.
If it works, it works.
255 works best with 6-8” of setback
27 works best with 6-8” of setback
28 and 31 work best with 8-12”

Been testing all these different setbacks at Eliminator for a few years now and I see it’s taken that many years for it to be noticed by the public.

Again, that’s what I feel when driving. I’m sure others feel differently and I’m not the say all be all.

Congrats, colors look great! I'm on the wait list. I thought they told me they cant do a True Tunnel in open bow due to weight distribution, perhaps with the single 500 that works out?

It's the new bottom, with a small center sponson to deflect water around the motor.

Did I miss the true tunnel part of being a true tunnel.
This should explain it.
