Eliminator Open House from this last Weekend

We will start off this monday AM with a quick interview with Bob Leach at the Open House last weekend. I'll be uploading pics from some of my favorite boats at the Eliminator facility throughout the day. Thank you to V13 for being our Videographer for the interview.

I almost drove down for the open house. but in the end, I didn't feel like 12 hours in the car round trip.

It was drive from San Diego 3 hr round trip cool.. For me to drive 10+ hours their had better be some boating and nightlife cool..

Great interview RD. Funny that I was discussing the 19 Daytona, in detail, just yesterday with a buddy. Amazing that technology is still top shelf. :thumbup:

In keeping with the all red theme this Daytona was bad ass.. Really hard to take pics of though because it was half in and half out of the building.

That boat was impressive. The interior, cockpit area, was all business.

I took a walk way out back and found this old school race boat sitting out there waiting to be re powered.. I don't have any details on it other then it would have staggered power and was probably over the top back in the day.

Hard to believe it is still for sale. It was between this boat and the Howard when I was looking. Gary told me they took a deposit on it, so I never followed up on it.

Do they still have the molds for the Formula 19?

No they don't.. But a guy I know has the spectra 19 mold which I think is the same boat.

I believe the boat was either in the rigging shop or the gel shop because I didn't see it. We will be doing a write up on it and videos of it.

RD, did you get any pics of the new 28 Speedster, orange w/black stripes, single 1350 boat, being built? I'm just going to assume by reading your post earlier, that the owner of that 27 openbow speedster is building the new 28?

I really like that 27 Standard Deck Daytona next to Shane Grey's boat. It's listed on their site at 75k.

It was in the spray booth,they're finishing the front/rear cap job.

That's Pete Paluzzi's boat ... original owner, I believe ... he sent the power head out for re-furb ... love to tease him about being a "showroom queen" but that boat is very well cared for and runs in the low 100's ...

We had a great turnout (some 60 guests) ... grub was "over the top" ... it's just awesome to see the Eliminator Family gather together ...

That 27 in their showroom reminds me of the 33 that Whipple Industries brought to DS, several years back. The gel design is really flashy.

Your gelcoat lesson of the day,Pokey.
When I look at that 21 I'm seeing 11 colors,and two fades,plus the line shading down the center of the deck.
While all the pinstripes are the same color they were shot individually and the two fades are the same color but also shot individually.
