Revisiting this thread Dave.... I am currently trying to sell my 28 Daytona LP. Want to do my first new build with Eliminator. I am set on the twin Merc 700/6 drive package. I originally was only thinking about a 33X Speedster, until I saw the green and orange 28 Speedster they built last year that had 700's and 6 drives. It was the first time I had seen 6 drives on a 28 Speedster and they said the boat was scary fast. I don't have a large family or kids and I don't really go to lake with friends or anything so not super concerned about the difference in cabin size between the 28 and 33X. I have old 28 Speedster quotes don't want to hit up Mark and the guys at Eliminator until I am ready to pull the trigger, I am sure they're busy. If the price gap isn't astronomical I will probably get a 33X but if we are talking 100K+ difference I think I would "settle" for a 28 Speedster. The technology and lay ups and finish of these boats now in 2024 is so much better from since 2009 that I imagine the speeds and performance of the boat are even better.
One of the new models that will be released soon is an updated 28 speedster. There is a rendering floating around on instagram. I believe in the Eliminator tour video Jake said it would be called the 306 Speedster.

I think a newer 28 with big power is hitting the market soon.

This 28 was for sale at Horizon 4 years or so back. I kick myself in the nuts daily for not buying it!
