the new Specialized Creo is the latest and greatest. Introduced at TDF. https://www.specialized.com/us/en/turbo-creo
Really the first road bike that doesn't look like a Electric Bike. Variable Assist. 28 MPH top speed. These things are going to wreck my KOMs......:(

We have a couple and they are a blast. I don’t think my partner ever pedals though. Ours have 5 levels of assist or straight throttle plus 7 speed derailer They also fold up. We wanted folding so when stopping at rest stops or truck stops they would be inside the Jeep out of sight.

I have had a couple pedego's for about 10 years, they are awesome. Mainly ride at beach were wind is always a issue and they work great. I peddle mine mostly with a little throttle assist, my GF don't peddle at all. Sweet pedego is about $2100.

you looking mountain or road bike? If I had the free cash, I would have an Intense Tazer in my garage. 29" front tire, 27.5+ rear tire. The electric boost allows you to climb easier and enjoy the downhill more. If you want to get an Intense, there is a 10% discount code of their website if you use PulpMX10

Road bikes to putz around with the wife doesn't sound like the right fit.

This, however, does. Those are versatile looking even though I'm more of a beach cruiser type.
Been considering getting a rear wheel hub and battery for my cruiser.

If you have a bike you like you can rehub the rear wheel and add the battery/control elements for way less. That's what I'm thinking of doing.

Ive been thinking about a full suspension my bike forever. id like to see one of those bike direct bikes in person. The intense tazer would be awesome. Id consider the giant trance E bike first, since its a bit less money.. check craigslist too. Id be reluctant getting one with the hub, because of the quality of the wheel...

The most trouble free solution is a bike with a Bosch built motor/battery/control system. Multiple bike brands use Bosch systems. I'm not saying there's no other good systems, or that Bosch is cheap, but they have the best quality hands down. And the best service if there ever is an issue.

ive seen the kits to rehub one but it seems like a pain in the ass to get it done. I have a roadbike and 27.9 hardtail....ive always wanted a FS bike but a nice yeti, Santa cruz, or marin were way out of my price range. Ive read really great reviews on the hal6 which i still want but still cant bring myself to drop that coin on a weekend warrior bike. The only reason i started looking at electric ones is because i saw they finally offered an electric FS mountain bike and its almost a no brainer to spend the extra cash to get that over the basic hal6

I’ve had 3 meniscus operations and ride a regular Mt bike all the time on plenty of gnarly stuff. You’ll rehab fast. Just take it easy and listen to the cautions about blood clot prevention.

Way cool, but way out of my price range!

LOL!!!

You obviously clicked on the store link? I just threw that price in there cause I had no idea what to put. The store is not fully functioning just yet, and as the site owner is headed to Powell next week, the website is pretty much that last thing on is mind! :p

Lemme text him and try to get a price...

What brand are those?
They look like like fun to take camping
Addmotor.
Some people don’t like that there is no real store everything is done online. So no face to face resolution if an issue arises.
