strip membrane if possible from ribs
Smother ribs (both sides) in melted butter
rub both sides with garlic powder, onion powder, celery salt and pepper
wrap individually in tin foil with a few extra slices of butter for 3 hours at 350 in the oven
pull ribs from oven and turn heat to broil
remove top layer of tin foil and cover tops of ribs in BBQ sauce
sear top layer for about 3-5 minutes and serve
Turns out perfect every time.

The meat turns out great this way, falling off the bone as it should. Needs sauce though. Gotta have sauce.

350?, I do 250 for 3.5hrs and they turn out perfect as well!! Put a little olive oil on them and sprinkle on dry rub. Wrap em in foil with a half a can of Coor Light, and finish the same way! Yummy!

i do a variation of this. I use mustard instead of olive oil. ill do 3 hours on the smoker at 180°, then wrap with beer or butter, if its not hot out and i dont mind the oven running for 2 hours, i put them in the oven wrapped for 2 hours at 250°, then cover with sauce and run the broiler for 5-10 minutes to set the sauce or put them on the BBQ.

looks like a take on the 3-2-1 method. 3 hours smoke (180), 2 hours wrapped with beer/apple juice (225), then 1 hour removed from wrap with bbq sauce lathered on.

exactly, its a variation that works well for me. the only reason i will run them in oven wrapped is to get something else on my small smoker or to try to save pellets. I have also vacuum sealed them after they are done with the wrapped step and throw them on the BBQ with sauce the next day or so. works well when we want ribs at the river or out camping and i dont want to bring the smoker or babysit all day.
