That’s a cool idea but would be a pain to park and/or zip through beach boardwalk traffic. Around the neighborhood or campground it would be fine but then transporting it would suck lol

I wish the Soul had a twist throttle like my pedego has, works way better, but i have gotten use to thumb tab on Soul or just use ride assist, just make sure you're hanging on or you will bust your ass quick.

One thing to keep in mind with these bikes is the weight...having to the lug them on an off bike racks if you are traveling with them. The Aventon make one I think that is 27lbs...which is a bike you could toss around like a normal bike versus a 70lb bike...just something to keep in mind... I like to keep all my bikes hanging from the ceiling and not taking up space on the floor in the garage...

I agree and liked the looks of it more that functionality. Did the same with our Soul's, like the look, just a massive bike move around and prefer a bike with a torque sensor vs a cadence sensor so sold them..

As mentioned i have the Soul Cuda and couldn't be happier. i ride more now than i have in years, and most of the time i'm pedaling, its so much nicer to ride than my Specialzed fat tire bike is, but on a hill or if i get tired love that little button or turn on pedal assist,

Some of the Specialized SL bikes can go 50-60 miles, and with their “range extender” battery can hit up to 90 miles. They have torque sensors, low-torque motors and no throttle though, so you do have to work. My Creo is only 27 lbs with the main battery.

Yeah, it’s not designed for a casual ride in the park, but they have other SL models that allow for a more upright posture.

I used to commute to work on a Super 73. It’s fun but sucks as a bike in general. Handles like crap, going up hill is crap and 25 miles is about as much range as you’ll get. Moved to Big Bear and it’s all but worthless other than town riding. It will stall out on paved hills here.
Before you buy an e bike learn the difference between cadence pedal assist (most hub motor bikes) and toque pedal assist (most mid drive bikes).
I picked up a specialized Turbo Levo and do 40+ miles rides with 4,000+ elevation gain all the time. Thing is a goat climbing uphill. Not as fast on the motor as the Super though.

No mention of Specialized Giant,Trek,Scott. These guys make the best MTN bikes and look to make great e-bikes. I ride this, not a e-bike, but am ready to take the plunge.

I think when most people say e-bike, they are thinking about most the type of bikes that have been recommended here, like S73, Soul, etc.

Sold the 2 Seagulls and got a Rocket fat tire. Ride is so much better
7 speed shimano, 36 volt, 500 watt, 5 speed pedal assist or throttle only
Runs about 22 mph.
18 month warranty
I paid $800 to my door. They are on sale now for $649.
It has front suspension but not sure if the one in stock has the seat post suspension like mine

Santa is bringing my oldest a Stacyc for Christmas. Now that both my kids will have one I want an e-bike to cruise around the neighborhood with them.

I like the Rocket a lot better than the Seagull.
If you are looking at the Rocket it is a bit taller or larger bike and ask for the one that has the seat post suspension. Some models didn't have one.
Plenty fast and powerful.
It's at our home in Williams so it's been a bit chilly to use it lately.
They come mostly pre assembled. Install front wheel, pedals, handle bars and seat
