DS raftup spot

DS raftup spot is gonna be HI Isle. it's on the AZ side just south of the pump station. HavasuHank BUDMAN and myself scouted it out this weekend. it's shallow enough that anchoring should be no problem and if the fast guys hug the az side like they did last year it should be perfect. Pink Taco and RD have the location so helicopter pics should happen. we should all be tied up before 10 am. hopefully the big boys keep there shit together to card stop 1. we should have a great view of wide open throttles. we will be about a mile north of card stop 1. hope to see ALL of you there!!

yes and no. lol. it would be nice to meet at the bouy line around 9 am so we can all mob down to the spot together. it's gonna be busy and could prove to be a bit difficult to get that to go smooth. we should all be tied up before 10 am cause that's when they release the first group. it's an easy spot to find. just head towards Havasu Springs stay on the AZ side and just south of the pump station you will run into the group. don't be shy folks.

ANCHORS as well! we had almost 40 boats last year. 1 or 2 anchors will not hold 40 boats.:skull

We're leaving from The Palms so we'll already be most of the way there................considering I'll be in the pontoon I'll plan on leaving here the same time you all leave Thompson Bay and we should all get there about the same time :grumble:

That's a great location. Last few years I went to DS we watched it about 3000' south of your pin (under the power lines on AZ side). DS boats will be favoring AZ side to get best line to CS1. One time we saw a helicopter fly under the wires while he was chasing for photos on the return, pretty cool.
