Go down to Havasu Landing. I've dove hunted there and limited in an hour. You buy your hunting license at the marina store.

Havasu Landing is across the lake from Havasu. (Chemehuevi Indian tribe) Not sure what they are feeding on, but they fly up the washes from the lake. The hunting won't be as good as Blythe, but there is normally only a handful of other hunters.

I'm working on setting up a dove hunt on private land at Planet ranch for this year if anyone is interested. I'm going to scout the property this weekend.

Confirmed that the fort Mohave Indian tribe is not issuing permits.

Been hunting this area with success for over a decade. This is super disappointing.

I did not want to change my plans last minute so I am still going the hunt the Mohave Valley and keep on the limited AZ land. We always just bought an AZ license and a Reservation License so we could go anywhere without worrying about where we were. The land is broken up like a checker board and the map sucks.

Still disappointment, not sure why they shut it down, only thing I can think of is people complaining. Our group follows the 440 yard rule strictly and picks up everything including spent ammo. We clean in the field and even dig holes and bury it.

I've come to love hunting here, always find a good spot, less crowds and a great time.

We scouted out what I thought was going to be a great spot. 2 days a row there were hundreds of birds. Then comes opening morning and there is basically nothing. Got about 12 but took hours.

Yesterday morning after mud bogging we found another around 900 that seemed pretty untouched that was killer and got 13 but could have limited put for sure but was short on time for the hotel check out.

Also heard that some people got there reservations license and for sure saw people hunting it but I don't know for sure that they did open it. I'm glad if they did but also pissed because I guarantee I would have had a solid backup plan on res land.

How'd you do?

We didn't hunt, after not getting our license from the Indians, my buddy decided not to hunt because our spot was on the reservation, I found a couple of spots that were not on the reservation but he didn't want to give it a try, hopefully next year they will open it back up, if not we might go back to yuma or try blythe

That sucks! We have the old map from last year so we just started on hitting them one by one and that's no how we found what we thought was going to be great spot but somehow they moved over night. Pretty weird. Weather was not great but I'm not talking about a hand full of birds there were hundreds of not over a thousand in that area.

We for sure saw people hunting the res and someone at the Avi told us he got his on the 31st. So I don't know .

I didn't go but a coworker did. He hunted Yuma and limited out in a half hour on opening day.

PSA. Confirmed the fort Mojave Indian tribe is issuing license this year and that they did change their minds right before the opener last year but it was a cluster and they were not prepared so not many got them.

Happy hunting everyone.

Where do you get the permit? Is it the indian trailer on Dike Rd? What areas do they allow you to hunt? Trying to get more info. My house backs up to their fields and there were a tonne of people hunting this morning. I haven't done opener in maybe 10 years and would prob like to shoot tomorrow.

Covers you just on the reservation. So you need to make sure you understand the map.
