Don't try getting on or off the Island today

They're doing repaving & it's down to one lane that has sharp, huge bumps.....so everyone is going about 1/2 mph when you get a turn. Mile+ long line of cars waiting. Many very impatient people in the lines .

1/2 hr so far waiting to get off island... started at ballpark and still haven't got to 4way stop yet.

1hr 15min to get off island. Just in time to make my breakfast at lunchtime.
They had most all of the Shugrue's side paved and were glueing down temp lane markers. I'd assume they'll switch the back/forth traffic lane which should improve the flow significantly with it being smooth on that side vs the multiple 3inch bumps we had to navigate.

Judging by the progress I saw when I went over it at noon I'd guess they got it done in the afternoon. I'd also guess the shitshow of traffic control wouldn't repeat this mornings debacle if they are still working on it.
