It's crazy to me that up to 40,000 people show up to Gobblers Knob in Punxsatawney Pennsylvania in sub-freezing temperatures to wake up Phil !
As dumb as it is . . . it's kind of a bucket-list thing for Me . . . just to witness the absurdity first hand.
The forecasted low in the morning there is 18 degrees !

How many years ago? I go often, the good years were the mid 90’s. It was out of control. They cleaned it up a lot by trying to ban alcohol. There were some dud years but it is back, better than ever. 40,000 people is an off year.

Do it!! Gotta go for a few days. And make your reservations a year in advance. There is a bunch of events all week. It is one of my favorite things to do but It didn’t work with our schedules this year.
