Been seeing this more and more.
Not vested service dogs. Just some random person and their dog.

Where’s @was thatguy ?

I’ve noticed a couple things here.
4 out of 5 were French bulldogs.
And the owners of these dogs were alll...not Caucasians
Hold that thought...

This was Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving.
Dragging his balls and Dick around the cart, which ended up in the cart corral (the owner was at least gave the courtesy to do that.
But you know no one cleaned it up.

I asked the checker if it was ok to have dogs in the store. She said no but they don’t have the right to ask what service the dog performed.
I was quick to point out the dog isn’t vested. It’s not a service animal.
She shrugged.

Am considering leashing up 80lbs Miss Millie

And walk around the grocery store.
See how long it takes, might even toss her in a cart😎

They won’t stop some folks. Will they stop a grumpy white guy?

You can buy the vests on Amazon or Ebay with no restriction or documentation. And the checker is wrong. What service the dog provides is pretty much the ONLY question they're allowed to ask. While legitimate "Service Animals" are allowed anywhere a human is allowed to go, so-called "Emotional Support Animals" are NOT Service animals and get NO special consideration. Half the Snowbirds in Parker/Havasu have "Emotional Support" or Service Animal vests on their chihuahuas, shih tzus, Frenchies, and who knows what else.

Most of the dogs are out of control yappers, biters, and generally a PITA. Real Service Dogs are so well behaved that you hardly know that they're there. I was in Havasu Red Robin a while back and someone came in with a vested Service Dog, a Yellow Lab. As they came in and sat down, the dog went under the table and laid down, without direction, prodding or command, and stayed there the entire time the party was eating. If the dog doesn't perform like that, it's NOT a service animal.

We are life long dog lovers. And agree with Gelcoater's post. Seeing it all the time now in LHC. Here it has not appeared to be race related.

The abuse of the rules and consideration of others, is no different than a fully sighted person using a red tipped white cane to their personal advantage. BC is 100% correct. True Service dogs are amazing and you don't even know they are there.

I'm a bit surprised you admit to the Red Robin visit😄

On a side note, I watched this movie last night and it was hilarious! 👍 👍 But definitely not a kids movie. After you watch it you'll realize that the dog in 76 Hondo's pic owns that fruit now.🤣

I used to take my dog to Home Depot, but never the market. In so cal this weekend I felt like I was in petsmart when walked around the grocery store. I was shocked to see how many people brought their dogs into the store.

The non service dogs ending up everywhere has become super annoying. Our dogs cruise with us, hit the park for a walk, tractor supply when we get dog food and let them pick out a toy type of deal, but that's about the extent of it.

Other then that they are home, but what's funny is when they are out with us at TSC or something similar. They're way more well behaved than these "emotional" support animals.

I'd love to do this, but for my own dogs safety I don't. They're big and we have a lot of dumb hippies up here with shithead dogs. My dogs are trained and theirs are not. Not worth the risk to me to put my dogs in that situation. Sucks, but that's my take on it.

Set your dogs up for success not failure👍

The most well behaved non service dogs I’ve seen at stores was another Frenchi and an older Pit Bull
He pit was obviously used to being in public, just went along with her person, didn’t look around or sniff or wander.
The Frenchie, that lil bastard was off leash at again, the same grocery store as the pic above.
His owner had obviously trained it well. On point with heal, wandered once that I saw and a simple snap of fingers had him pop back into a walking heal.
Impressive, but had no place in the grocery store.

In havasu it fucking out of control, Smiths put up a sign, No pets allowed, it’s just ignored. Home Depot is dog friendly, but I say , just leave your god damn dog at home. I have 2 dogs, so not a hater.

Our dog stays at home where his job is to protect and watch the family/home. He also goes to FIL house when we go on vacations. I feel taking your dog anywhere but the vet, park or walks around the neighborhood is owners looking for attention.

Just like babies, everyone thinks theirs is "just the cutest thing" when in reality it's not always quite so.😇

We had big name trainer come in and probably spent way too much training our dogs but part of the training is taking them into public places like Home Depot so they get used to the noises and the crowds. They're better dogs for it. I can take my dogs into Home Depot, drop the leash and give them a hand signal to go down and walk away. They will stay there until I call them even with people walking by. Pretty impressive for two Chihuahuas.

Not that I do this really ever, but that was part of the training.

My wife is HIGHLY allergic to dogs. Both the dander and saliva. Just being around someone that has dogs sets off her allergies. If we see one dumbest in a grocery store that has one there, we usually try to go around to limit expose. I just know with how prevalent it is becoming, there is just going to be a matter of time until there is a confrontation with one of the dumbasses.

I punted some shitlap dog in bass pro once. Dog was on a longer leash and I didn’t see it. Owner got in my face . I said “ I’ll get you and your little dog too.”
Frenchies are the mostest stupidest dogs created. They can’t fuck or give birth.

AZ law changed to where you can ask what the dog is for. If it is a fake service dog or an emotional support dog then its in your right to have them exit.

I was in a chic filet and a lady was at a booth feeding her poodle from her plate at the table and a worker was admiring the fucking dog.

We have a diabetic child in the family and bring her abnormal glucose detection dog on trips.
She lost a leg to it so the dog does double duty, especially on cruise ships.

Her glucose monitor is wifi / blue tooth dependant which has proven to be about 60% reliable when traveling, the dog is 100% reliable.

We only bring the dog into sensitive places when necessary.

On cruise ships there’s always a Ms Karen Farfuckle that wanted to bring her no talent Pomeranian and has an issue with working dogs getting a pass. A jackass remark follows.

On Disney Cruise Ships they don’t fuck around with assholes.

Special needs kids and their dogs are golden and the Ms Farfuckle gets one warning then bags are packed by the crew and she’s put off at the next port if they don’t heed the warning.

He bailed when everyone started expressing their fantasies about getting molested by a hot teacher in their teens. He'll be back.

Looked into that when a coworker was talking about bringing his emotional support dog to work (PTSD combat vet) From what I gathered, it's legit in CA. Go figure. I'm no lawyer and he quit before it ever became a thing, so my research was minimal at best.
I do it all the time. She loves it. 👍

Looks so much like my little one that we just put down after 17 years. She went lots of places, but no stores.

17 years is a hell of a good run for a dog👍

Didn’t know that about Tommy. I saw he thread but didn’t read past the first couple posts.
Was it that bad??

Remember a few years back when someone tried to bring their "emotional support" ostrich onto a commercial flight? I think that's about when the tide began to turn as far as the airlines were concerned.

You get better service at the Torrance HD with a dog. Cashiers have treats for them and you will have 3 Cashiers trying to help you instead of ignoring you with no dog.

My dog is a dog. Guards my property while I am at work. But I would bring her to HD if it was easier. Wouldn't have to look for a employee to ask for help.

No worse than some of the wild animals that pass for kids nowa days. I have three but a public store is no place for your dogs. Let them watch the car for ya. People. You give them an inch and they'll keep pushing till they fuck it up for everybody every time.

Petco, Petsmart, InKahoots, other feed and tack stores, Tractor Supply, stores llike that. No problem.

Keep them off the grocery carts and out of grocery-stores.

My daughters and I met a gal at the Stator Bros legit eye sight impaired.
My kids were fascinated because her dog was a Doberman. Like ours.
And her dog was on point.
Ignored us until the lady heard the kids.
Let her “at ease” to be the sweetheart she was for a minute knowing we were also Doberman people.
I’ve no problem with this gal or people like her.

Like others have said.
Some folks skirt the rules and ruin it for legit people in need.

Is kind of why I want to push some limits and see what happens🤷‍♂️😇😈
