Poor Max....the coonhound....doesn't even need to hear the word "bath"...he knows the look when momma walks up to him. He starts shaking....so bad his fucking tags jingle on his collar lol.
There is no walking him to the bath, all 80lbs must be picked up and carried...legs pointed straight in all directions stopping forward progress at every door jamb between his couch and the bathroom.

No problem with pools or the river though.

He's a strange one.

I take my German shepherd to “pet supplies plus” they have a dog wash area with all the soaps etc. warm water, blower, etc… he loves it. If I tell him “bath” at home he freaks the fvck out. Last time I tried to pull him into the bathtub he flailed around and broke the shower door.

Our Beagle was like that. Now our lab, doesn't mind baths, as long as it's mom giving them.

My pit thinks the world is ending and he will melt and go down the drain or some shit.
Oldest shepherd loves baths and water. Downside is I have blow dry and fluff her down coat as it's so damn thick. Takes forever and is hard to get the soap out. If you don't she has skin reactions.
Youngest shepherd tolerates, but isn't thrilled. Doesn't understand why her Auntie loves the water, but watches with curiosity.

We had a Sheltie that would go the shower door and bark. Loved her a bath. If I was in the yard with a water hose she would come a runnin.

Our GSP hated it for the first 6 months. Used to have to trap him and get ahold of him. He’ll run and jump in the bath in a heartbeat now. Not sure what clicked. Cracks me up though.

One dog runs to the tub at the hint of a bath, other dog immediatley hides under the bed.

Anytime I want my dog to stop doing something I just say let’s get a bath. He puts his head down and mopes out of the room. lol The groomer says he’s great though, he told me last time what a good dog and pleasure he was to work with. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Fuck if I know.

Our mini Aussie LOVES anything that has to do with water, bathtime, mud, everything. She hates walking on wet rocks during potty time when it's raining. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ Makes zero sense.

Whenever our boy (big doodle) thinks theres a chance of him getting a bath .... he's in the tub - before anyone's even in the bathroom to turn the water on.
We think he likes baths because his absolute favorite thing is to get dried off with a big towel. Nice life :)

Our Newfoundland was a crack up. She absolutely loved the water, swimming, wading the shore looking for fish and the lake in general. But a Bath? She acted like a Bath was somehow an insult to her. She put up with it. But, just barely.

I tell mine shower time and he puts his head down and goes and waits for me in the shower. Bad part was he is used to going to the bar after a bath and we haven't been to the bar lately.

You say “bath” or if she sees me bring towels in from the garage, she will slowly sneak to the back yard. If I call her, she will come in, but it’s the “head hung low” molasses mope, like it’s the final walk down death row.
Once she’s towel dried, she runs out and does the face rub on all the rugs in the house with the tail wagging.
I think part of the reason she doesn’t like a bath, is because when she gets groomed, they blow dry her. I don’t think she’s a fan of the blow dryer so I just use the towel.
If the if the sprinklers are on there’s or a pool, life’s fantastic.

I have one Doberman that loves water, the idiot will jump in the shower if the bathroom door is open. The other one not so much, she hates water.

We installed and outdoor shower with hot water for after the spa and dogs. They love the outside shower and even in the winter it is not bad with the hot water.

The real fight is when the Dremel and nail clippers come out. They hate it, but know that they have to sit there and take it.

Keeping the dogs nails trimmed is way easier than letting them grow out and chasing the quick back down.

So a couple days ago I brought in the dremel tool, Rocky didn’t see me do it.
I chilled out on the couch and he parked in his spot.
A half hour goes by and I think to myself
Ok, I’m going to plug it in and hit his nails.

That bastard picked his head up, looked at me, got up and went out back😳
He’s 12.😐

Complete pussy about nail trimming.
