Anyone know of a good dog toy that would last more then 10minutes before its head gets ripped off and the stuffing spread all over the house?

A kong, or a ball with a thick rope through it. Gave up on the stuffed ones with this puppy.

We like ropes. Takes a few weeks to tear them apart for around $10. Best part, no mess even when they are torn apart.

What size dog. I have dachshunds and we buy unstuffed lambs wool toys. They are pretty much indestructible

Best river toy for the price in my opinion.

Subscribed! The only thing that our Golden hasn't destroyed is the Kong. Some of the ropes have survived but not very much of them left, lol. Even the toys that Guarantee or money back don't make it past 15 minutes.

With that said, it still is fun sometimes to see how excited he gets to tear them up to shreds. Got him a leather one a couple weeks ago and I can't even find it, pretty sure he just ate the whole thing, ha.

One of those lasted exactly 8 minutes here.

Then all it looked like was an intestinal blockage just waiting to happen.
An x Ray, bips administration, another follow up x ray plus some anti nausea meds is about a thousand bucks.
I know this from a previous suspected blockage. No rope for us, lol.

For chewers like this dude we give a piece of elk antler. Doesn’t shred or shard that I’ve seen.
He works on it a few times a week and has lasted over a year. Once it gets to a certain size I’ll toss it so he doesn’t try and swallow it.
Kongs are pretty good and this dude likes the giant kong tennis ball for chucking and throwing.

We’ve had pits for years and hands down the best toys for powerful chewers is Nylabone! They have different sizes... sometimes Costco has a nice pack for sale.

Kong toy ... black one is tougher than red! Put peanut butter inside. For an added twist, stuff a Costco bone inside ;)

A fun outside ball that lasts is Unbreakaball... my boy carries it with his teeth... obviously we don’t play tug of war with that one lol

Antlers are bad for teeth... rope toy strings are bad for ingestion... I’ll give squeaky toys and watch as they tear them apart, throw away when pieces get small...

Good luck - most toys don’t last long with tuff pups lol

We always just picked up things at Goodwill or Salvation Army. Our pup just tore most dog toys up or he didn’t play with the ones that he couldn’t. Lol

Kongs don't last with our 20# Chewy Louie. The sticks/bones like the benebon posted last awhile longer. Anything stuffed is shredded in minutes.

Forgot about Nylabone but they are good too.
No shards or sharp shit.

Anything that squeaks or has stuffing is on borrowed time. My boy loves frisbees and balls. He doesn’t usually destroy them right away.

My girl likes bones that I get from the feed store. She eventually keeps dropping them until she can get it break apart.

Only thing that lasts with my huskies are the black kongs and goughnuts. Looks like they have a floating goughnut now too... For temporary relief I give them himalayan dog chews. I use to give them Elk Antlers, but they really screwed up one of my dog’s teeth.

8" of 1" PVC pipe, and 2 1" PVC caps. No glue, just dry fit them snug........ best dog toy ever!

JollyBall for horses, firehose built toys (not Kong) or a 2x4. Some fire departments have old hose to get rid of we make tug o war pieces and whatnot. Also the big heavy rubber tire toys seem to hold up

Has anyone noticed some dog toys look really similar to "adult" bedroom toys?

We have a fire hose from a vet around the corner. Going on 8-9 months and it’s still around. The strap that was on it was chewed off in a day but the fire hose has lasted. Best thing is that it was like $5

Nylabones, Benebones and antlers for durable chewing for sure...

Aqua Kong for a durable toy at the river, but only under supervision because of the rope.

Kaiya chews her name into all of her stuffed toys, but no longer destroys them.

Easy is an aggressive chewer, and hardly anything lasts in our house. Anything with stuffing gets promptly unstuffed as soon as it comes home.
I give him bones from the butcher to keep him occupied through the day, but this firehose toy has become the new favorite. We've had it about a month and it still looks brand new. He chews it every single day. I got him the water bottle version so it crinkles.

My Guy has "bone crushing jaws" We give him trimmed raw beef ribs (one a day) , Rhonda sets the timer, he goes outside @ about 12 minutes when she beckons him , he brings the meatless bone to the back door and she trades it for a "greeny" , (she tosses the rib)bone before he cracks it apart , as for indoor toys he has some he destroys and some he leaves intact He's our only "child" and spoiled like Mofo

Our hound dog can eat one of those rawhide or particle board looking bone chew toys in about 5 minutes. The rope toy seems to hold up, but he prefers the neighbors cats. Another favorite toy is a training pigeon. He returns them alive but completely plucked.

What's wrong with letting them find their own toys? Like say, a frozen deer leg. X2 on the Salvation Army toys. Spend a couple bucks and get a full bag of used stuffed animals that are going to get destroyed no matter what.

I have a Lab. He shredded Kongs, Rope Toys, and any other Toy I put in his mouth, within minutes. Then, I started buying these:

https://www.nylabone.com/products/b...MIg6Ots5yA4QIVzFcNCh0-igQVEAAYASAAEgJ5OPD_BwE

He CANNOT destroy these and he chews on em all day. I throw them away after a year or so, because they get nasty and the ends get sharp from him chewing on em and just go buy a new one.

Good luck Buddy!

I walk out the front door one day and there is a nice white tail 4x4 head on my porch, obviously stolen from one of my neighbors. I put it on the green power box, somebody picked it up sometime that day. Glad I didn't have to go knocking on doors.
