Looking for a quality unit for a couple of pocket dogs. I am used to having 100 - 150 pound dogs and having to use a round point or snow shovel to pick up their crap in the back yard. My wife came with a couple of pocket dogs and much smaller and solid poop is just one of the advantages I am noticing with pocket dogs!

I have broken the last couple of T handled spring loaded pooper scoopers and am looking for something I can smack against the inside of the yard waste bin without breaking the dam handle.

Any suggestions?

The spring loaded clampy deals work well, but are cheap as hell. Reference link for the bag / glove and bend over crowd, doesnt work well with big turds, but does with tiny turds.

I would pay a couple hundred for an aluminum crap picker upper, just don't see any on google searches.

How about dog diapers, they could work long enough to hand the little bundle of joy back to the wife to handle?

I have 3 different models.
13yr old one complains and you have to ask a dozen times.

8yr old takes forever but is happy to do it.

5yr old says it’s gross and makes a mess
I tried that with my sons, it didn't work very well. I like walking on the grass without shoes on in the summer...and really dislike dog shit squishing between my toes. Living in Western WA has it's unique challenges, like it rains a lot and once the crap turns to goo it isn't user friendly to pick up with a bag or glove.

That's a similar to one we use. Had for three years, just loaded the springs with grease to stop rust. My dog is 98.6 lbs.

Is there a physical challenge to bend down and pick it up ?

If not, just use a plastic bag inside out and pick it up.

Been doing this everyday for last 16 years I buy the little rolls on amazon by the 1,000

I use those when walking my dog, but I’ve often wondered when I’ll get the bag with a hole in it. I definitely prefer a scoop.

I’m the plastic bag, bend at the knees and pick it up guy. But now that I’m in the frozen tundra it’s way more complicated. Have to wait for the thaw to police the poop.

Just a "Life dog hack" for a few years now Sebastian only eats the food Rhonda makes him "byweekly" versus years ago . He's super healthy 100 lb 7 year Old male .... Before Her food prep when he ate "kibbles" clean up seemed continual in the back yard , now its like an Easter egg hunt to find a few poops before I mow

No physical challenge on my part, but I work a lot of hours and sometimes go 2-4 days between doodoo duty. Living just north of Seattle means the doodoo is more googoo, sometimes. I am not a fan of squishy between my toes or fingers, even with latex being the partition.

We have 2 Jack Russells and I just clean up their poop once every week while weeding, using my weeding tool to flick it in the 5 gallon bucket. Small dogs are easy. We had a couple black labs and holy shit!

Shovel seems to work the best .
Picks up hard solid crap or loose watery crap .

It flings it over the wall the best .

I just let them out front and they go on the neighbors lawn. Super convenient.

Totally agree! Always had chocolate labs, before meeting my wife, and had 2 at the same time for a couple of years. The last Choco Lab I had was 150+ pounds when he turned 4YO and I swear was part great dane. I'm no stranger to using a roundpoint shovel for yard cleanup. My wife's dogs are about 12 pounds each and she feeds them much better food then I fed my dogs, I see that it makes a difference but with the rain we get it's still nice to use a springloaded clambshell scooper to pick up the goo.
