Verizon switched their email over to aol over the weekend.

What a mess.

I was wondering if anyone else uses Verizon email? I am not able to send pictures from my phone to email. Are you able to do that?

Message comes in as blank with no attachment.

my Verizon email switched a couple of weeks ago. Worked fine at first. Now i am getting calls saying that their emails to me are getting returned. I have had this e mail address for a long time, don't really want to switch.

Glad I am not the only one. Let me know if you are able to find a way, and I'll do the same if I do.

I am using my yahoo address for the time being.

Verizon Fios is also switching to Frontier Cable. I have had nothing but trouble with Fios lately, I switched to Direct TV.

Are you able to send pictures from your phone to email and view them in your email?

Brian

Yes, no issues.................

BTW,

The wife received a notice from Verizon that we need to log on & set up the email parameters in the new (AOL) system. Had to do the same for all of the cell phones also. it had to be completed by Feb 23.

Yeah. You just had to login to aolmail.com. Once you do that everything is ported over and you keep your domain.

Phones are pretty smart and figure it out. Outlook etc you might have to change a setting or two.

If people can't send to you it's because you didn't change over by the deadline.

Verizon to AOL a pain but it is over. It does have some advantages. As far as cellphones, I have an Iphone 6. To swtich over e mail accounts you must first switch and register the email addresses online from Verizon.

Then go into new e mail accounts, select "AOL", enter your verizon.net account, password, save, you are done! One very positive thing is the ability to upload much larger files and retain more e mails.

Email is just email. I can adapt to whatever needs to be done.

If I send a picture from my phone to my email, the email is blank with no attachment. When send the same photo my yahoo address it works as normal, so I suspect it isn't my phone.

So to be clear Frontier has purchased the California, Texas and Florida from Verizon which is scheduled to close at the end of this month. Which is the reason for the email switch to aol. However the FiOS transition should be very seamless seeing that only changes will be billing. So any issues you may be having with your FIOS service is unrelated.

I had one Verizon email migrated over to the aol webmail an one that wasn't.

The one that got migrated early I can send photos. The other I had to get reactivated through support. That email address struggles with photos.
