Happy Flag Day! The kids and I have a little flag ceremony for all our country’s flag-waving celebrations. Today they learned Flag Day honors this date in 1777 when the Continental Congress officially made the Stars and Stripes the symbol of America.

Does anyone else celebrate?

I normally fly a flag every day, and today I would throw a new flag up. Once construction is done on our house and we start working on landscape/hardscape, I'll be putting a flag pole in and get back to flying the red white and blue every day

Loving all of your responses! Especially the 24/7 everyday flag-waving! We are lucky Havasu is very patriotic so there are American flags EVERYWHERE. I know not every town is the same. With all of the crazy crap in the nation, it is comforting to see and know so many other proud Americans. God Bless America!

I trust the flags are being lit after dark or taken down...
Yep. TX Girls Choir puts mine up for the major holidays and I bought two solar powered flood lights to keep her lit. When they pull the flag, I just pull the lights out of the yard and wait for the next holiday.
