OMG the Mattel Classic Football

I may still have that in my garage. I do have the baseball one and I had a sking one that was super cool. LOVED the baseball one.

I just searched for them on ebay and they're making retro models. 10-20 bucks! football or baseball.

Anybody ever watch the TV show, "Hot Seat" with Wally George on KDOC TV channel 56 in Anaheim?

Of course, it made Rebecca DeMornay even that much hotter :thumbsup

I'm glad that least a few people still remember Wally. I usually leave it off my resume, but I was the original producer of that show when it started back in the early 1980s for about nine months. There are some great stories however about a few of the guests that I might tell sometime.

Ahhh, what a flash back that ignited :D Early 60's when I visited my Aunt and Uncle's home in Long Beach. Watching Freddie and wrestling from the Olympic Auditorium every afternoon was like a religious rite for my uncle. :thumbsup

A stack of these old rags all dog eared, torn and worn out at the barbershop:

Don't know facts about when the first stereo cassette players were in cars but when I bought my 1972 Challenger brand new, it came with this Motorola unit on the console with a microphone to boost. Never ever seen another with this option anywhere
at car shows or on the streets. Read it once in a Mopar mag that a deputy somewhere in the midwest had one and used this mike, secretly recording informants while in stealth mode. There was a switch on the mike you could hide in your left hand. Did prank some of my friends with it.:)

My car is only two weeks old in this picture. Never liked the hemi orange and vinyl tops, so had the car painted blue and removed the top.Paint on these old Mopars were low quality any ways, lol.

I grew up in Arcadia and was in 9th grade when they used to film Fantasy Island at the Arboretum in Arcadia. One afternoon my mom took my friend and I there to take some pictures for our photography class and saw they were filming a scene for Fantasy Island. After the scene we got to talk to Ricardo Montalban and take a few pictures of him. Herve Villacheze was an asshole, he wouldn't let us take pictures of him, but we did anyways.

Fast forward seven years, one night my friend and I were at the Palomino in Van Nuys to see Johnny Lee and the little asshole was there in a little Howdy Doody cowboy outfit. We kept throwing peanuts at him whenever he walked by and laughed - he never knew where they were coming from.

Found this at pick a part in Sun Valley about 4 years ago.

...yes indeed one of the Griswald cars... over the years I have gotten so many treasures from pick your part and you pick a part in Sun Valley as one of my residences is not far from both yards...you pick part is now closed unfortunately...my stash of old Mercedes parts became pretty extensive at one time...

I always loved when Mel Blanc was on the Jack Benny Show. Here are a coupe of clips, one is the original Si/Sy skit that I think is funnier than Who's On First by Abbot and Costello. The other one is kind of long winded, but Mel Blanc totally makes it.

I had one of these bought back in 1979, looked identical. Used to buy them in parts and assemble.
