Her name is Gloria and she has literally traveled across the country with me. From CA to FL to AZ back to CA and now in TX.

Short video after the first engine blew a few years ago

Great thread.

my grandfather's wedding ring which I now wear proudly.

The wife and I had dinner tonight at Ross's cantina back in the canyon where the holy fire started.

We talked about what we would grab in a we gotta go situation. Really wasn't much. As long as we have each other everything else is just stuff.

The old saying goes everything is for sale for the right amount of money. Do you have something that it doesn't matter how much money someone offered, you wouldn't sell it?
Yes, you.

I don't own anything that valuable. Id sell anything I own at market value. I was thinking of selling my house, but right now Id have to downgrade because everything is expensive now. So maybe it will take a lot to get me to sell the house now.

I was going to say my dignity, but I believe I lost that for $5 long ago.
There are items my dad gave me as a youngun which are not on the market, plus my brothers motorcycle license plate which I snagged after he passed.

That's funny, I have a 1979 Vespa 100 Sport. People are always asking me how much you want for it!
I tell them all that can't afford it!

Lol mine is also a 79

I've had to dispose of items that I never thought I could or would.
I got all kinds of crap stored in garage I've had for decades I want to get rid of cuz I don't want American Pickers swinging by calling it a mega-pick.

For the eternal inter web record. I have nothing of significant value in my house.

Too many items here that are never for sale.

‘30 Model A, my Dad bought when he was 17. All restored and original. As he puts it, the car has survived him going to war, marriage and kids.
‘56 T-bird. Been in the family longer than me.
‘64 Falcon Conv. My Dads neighbor brought it home in late ‘63 and my Dad fell in love with it. Told him if he ever sells it to call him. Dad inherited it when he passed on the ‘80’s.
‘62 VW bug. It is a documented one of one car my Grandpa in Hawaii bought for my Grandma. He bought it from the a VP of VW at the time. It was a gift for his wife but she could not drive stick, so he sold it to my Gpa.
Family cradle. I forget the exact age, we have a sheet listing everyone that’s been in it. I think I was #27. There were only two made. My (don’t know how many Greats) grandfather was at the hospital when his son was born and met another man there who had a daughter born that same day, and they became friends. My great x’s# grandfather made two cradles out of rosewood, one for his son and gave the other to his new friend. Cradle passed down on the male side ever since. Story ends with those two babies growing up and getting married too.
There’s some other things too. Tables, a cash register, submarine clocks, guns and rifles

Couple guns. Smith & Wesson model 13 with a 3" barrel and a Lady Smith model 65 3" barrel prelock pin on hammer.

I don't own it yet but I hope some day I will. Late grandma's Smith & Wesson model 34, the box of cci ammo missing 6 rounds and the key in the ammo box to the lock box. After the house had been broken into twice grandpa got it for her. On the third break in she shot the couch 5 times and the 6 round was no where to be found. Probably still in the robber. No robberies since then in 1984. .

Couple of rifles that i got after my uncle passed away, actually aren't worth much to anyone but me, in 1978 i bought a
Smith and Wesson model 19 357 brand new, not sure what it would be worth now but doesn't matter.
The other thing that comes to mind is my 1990 blazer, after a couple years of working on it and the crazy amount of money i have put into it no one is going to pay any think close to what i have into it, but im building it up the way i want it, not to make money, kind of like everyones boat :)

Obviously, family and family heirlooms.

Material things? Our 94 Chevy Dually, and our 76 Southwind that we bought from the original owner, it's all original, and mint. I always tell my husband that he'd going to bury me in that thing. Everything else? Bring the cash and it's yours.

Great question.... I have a few nice things that I can't say are so important to me that i part with them (boats, car, an old Harley, etc.) its the few things that aren't valuable that would be difficult to let go, maybe there's a gun or two, a ring, a childhood bible... these are the items that i cherish and would be MUCH harder to part with. On the other hand, let's say you were given a $1B dollars. Can you imagine all the kids you could send to school on scholarship, the families that could be brought back together, the lives that would be extended with some meds????? The generations of your own family that could avoid hardship and struggles..... I'm not one to save the world, we have liberals to do that, but I can certain help relieve someone's burden with a extraordinary gift. Good question indeed!

My Dad's prized hand painted skill saw clock...
He probably picked it up for $19 at a garage sale, but it was his and he really liked it.

A three dollar paperback book...

Given to me as a gift by an ex girlfriend. Inscripted and signed by her. I wouldn't trade it for anything. :)

Although I have no real story behind the 55, it’s been my dream car since I first saw Carl Coles at the drag strip.
It have to be a big amount to pry that from me. View attachment 674862 View attachment 674863

A Carl Cole reference on RDP, well, when you get yours going to the track, just promise me you have the secondaries hooked up and not disconnected to stay in a bracket :)
