We have a red file also, but we share some of the info with our close friends so that they don't get screwed either... I have even gone so far as to call and warn my competitors about some of the people...

I have 1 so to speak. I keep it for wholesale accounts that bounce checks, they are no longer allowed to write checks for payment, CASH ONLY and all special orders are paid up front in CASH!! Every so often I allow them the use of a credit card but very seldom.

Blue.....Multiple policies

Pink.....friend or family

Red......Very important large account

Black.....You only get to talk to me and it won't be plesant and if I'm not here your SOL. When you get into a black file it means that we want you gone and were just waiting for you to leave or be canceled.

I think we only have 1-2 Black files currently in the office. Last year I had the pleasure of telling a couple long time jerky clients that we are un willing to rewrite there business as they don't treat my staff in a acceptable manner......one guy was not happy and he forced me to tell him how I really felt:skull:champagne:

I won't tolerate assholes that treat my girls bad.

They felt all they needed was your business once. If a customer was dumb enough to come back for more they weren't aware what happened the first time.

There use to be black lists, of people you wouldn't work for, and nobody else would work for them either. Then consumer protection laws pretty much outlawed them. Publicly anyway.
