I was watching that a few days ago, thinking about her unique voice. Ran across this one too. She looked so much better with long hair...

Damn she could sing....another gone too early

Here's Shawn Colvin's remake of Viva Las Vegas, it was played over the closing credits of The Big Lebowski. Not a rocking version that so many have done, but her own low-key take on it. I like hearing when driving through the desert at dawn.

I'm not a big Heart fan but but I think anything she covers is gold. That chick can still sing and she's in her 60's.

I was watching the Disturbed cover and the 1st suggestion was this one from Britain's Got Talent. Pretty damn good!

Covering Led Zeppelin is sacred IMO. I've only ever heard two people do it right.

1. Godsmack - Good Times Bad Times

2. Anne Wilson - Stairway to Heaven

I’m a fan of the “Common Thread” cover album of Eagles hits.
Susie Boggess' "Take It to The Limit", Travis' Take It Easy" and a couple of others are at least as good as the Eagles!!

I'm an Eagles fan!

GnR’s cover of “Knock’n On Heavens Door” vs Dylan’s.
There’s something about the sound of jacking a round into the pistol and spinning the cylinder on the revolver that I look forward to every time I hear it. Axl really put it all in that cover!

J D crow and the new south had the cover of Dillards "Old Home Place" and it was better. Of course J D had Tony Rice, Ricky Scaggs, Jerry Douglas in the band. Lead cut on the Rounder 0044 album.

I thought that cover was OK, but if the band actually went to Afganistan and played that for our troops it raises the bar in my mind. ++ cover.

I have to LOL and "vintage". Guess I am that old. Grunge music killed rock in the early 90's, take the computer away from rock bands from the early 90's to present and they would have a hard time holding a candle to the music from made before them.

I dont think this is a cover but I remember when it it was on the radio in the 80's while I was a teenager. It seemed like total glam rock at the time so I never payed much attention to it.
It's funny to see / understand the lyrics now and think back to how this sort of applied to my and my 4 siblings childhood and how today my kids might be looking at what me and my soon to be ex are going through and thinking the same thing. I used to put a baseball bat next to my bed when I was in my teens in case my dad would try and beat up my mom again. Never had to use it, but would have 5 years earlier.

I have never touched a women in anger and my kids grew up in a much different environment than I did but they don't know the difference, just what they perceive and what their mom tells them. I know they will understand later in life.

Anyway, if your like me and never paid attention to the lyrics of this song, check it out again.

I met this young lady years ago. She was the real deal. Got a email one day that she had been shot by one of her fans after he asked for a hug. She jumped right up to give it to him and he shot her dead. It was his way to show her his love. What a sick fucker. Made me cry to hear about the lose. Still have her on my play list.
