I just looked at some of the places to get diesel.....Still higher than Costco by a fair amount

In areas where no Costco or maybe Sams Club is located it might work.

Ralphs aka Kroger Rewards. Usually 90 cents to a dollar off per gallon.
COSTCO is the last to raise prices, the first to lower.

We get our Rx's there so discount adds up pretty quick.

A lot of people on rv sites talk about a tds card I believe. I have not really looked into it.

I have looked at this a little may go with it if I decide to drive the rv across the country. It is mostly for truck stop locations.

have read people getting up to 50 cents a gallon discount. I really need to look into it as the prices go up. When we are on the road it’s a couple of hundred dollars a day in fuel.

what about those truck stop card accounts? When I start driving the bus around I'll be filling up a 200 gallon tank. Every little bit will help.

That is the tds card. I will open a 3nd checking account to use with it when I do. I have read they can take awhile to take money out after purchase.

Gas buddy app, Costco & Safeway points discount. That's about as good as if gets without some kind of commercial account I think.

Use GasBuddy on road trips all the time. GasGuru works too.

Safeway points are probably better than a commercial account to be honest, but you still have to spend a lot of money at the store to get those points. Easy if you are feeding a family though. I'm just buying for myself and still end up getting 30-40 cents off per gallon usually

I save up my Smiths points until it is time to fill up the boat :)

The tsd card works well if you’re traveling across the country and need to use truck stops (petro gives the best discounts). I usually fill 70-80 gallons in my truck and save 20-30 bucks. You might get as good of deal with gas buddy but with a 65’ long rig the truck stops are the only option

I am wondering if I should try this TSD card. I don't run out of a full tank in a day or two......I can go about 1300 miles pulling the 5th wheel. I usually will be detached where ever I am and just run the truck to where the lowest diesel is via the Gas Buddy app or a Costco if nearby.

Maybe just get a Sams Club card as well since possibly there would be a SC instead of a Costco in places?

Not really stopping at truck stops to fill up. It could happen but not normal for me to do. I guess going thru the South or midwest it will be more an issue?????

They cut it off at 35 gal. I used to go in and fill my boat and truck from empty almost 160 gallons.
Yep, 35 gal max. I do all I can to get all 35 including bringing extra cans to fill if necessary.
Some years back before they updated their system I'd start two pumps simultaneously with the discount and get 35gal on each pump.

the thing to keep in mind with the fuel cards for truck stops and such is they only work at the truck islands, which are typically more money per gallon than the car side of the pumps due to more taxes etc. so you may not always get a better price with the cards.

I’m the same way. My truck holds 100 gallons. I just compared gas buddy to my tsd app. If I felt like driving over to the truck stop I’d save 23 cents per gallon. I usually compare making a stop at a truck stop with the fifth wheel on vs getting there and going with gas buddy. Most of the time it’s worth it to take a quick break at the truck stop
