Came from lake havasu. Hopefully you took care of it. If so I can send you your Barbie, Elf, Descendents 2, etc DVD's back that you left. Usually people with boats take good care of things. Second vehicle I’ve purchased from there. Anyways a new to me toy. I know I posted a while ago about getting a eco mobile to get to work… but what if I get there twice as fast? Gl550 430hp twin turbo v8 suv. Loaded with almost every single option. Still gets better mpg than my turbocharged dually truck.

I've got a 2012 S550 and it gets 20mpg around town and 27mpg on long freeway trips running 80mph. Hauls ass as well.

i was originally looking at the e550s, my boss had a amg c63 a while back and it was the fastest car ive ever been in... we were going like 170 on the irvine toll road. But those have like a cult following and still score big price tags used. but once the wife saw this had the 3rd row we were hooked. also this has the "designo" seat upgrade package which I didn’t even know existed.

But carfax showed it lived in lake havasu for a couple years. With the dvds in the car I figured it was a wife’s car or a grandmas car with little kids. Not out road racing. First owner was a company vehicle and with the sticker I figure a ceo and records showed it was always maintained at Mercedes dealers.

You’re brave, not sure anyone could talk me into being the 3rd owner of a modern German car (except a p-car)

Spent the last 2 nights. Wash, claybar, compound, polish, graphene ceramic coated. Every door jam, every crack every crevice cleaned. It’s nice and warm this weekend so I’ll be taking out the seats, carpet cleaning and scrubbing the interior.

Then I can enjoy it.

Thats exactly what I do. Something about sitting in someone elses dirt just doesn't feel right to me. Plus when I am done with it, it actually feels like a new car to me. Sweet ride.

Had a renntech 540hp tune with catless downpipes. Started getting the infamous misfire/injector trim fault and so I scoped the cylinders. 5 has typical scoring. There’s a coating that fails along with heavy fueling on cold startups for warming up cats. Blocks coming out and getting iron sleeves. Gonna turn up the boost after that and aim for 700 with intercoolers and bigger injectors. Parts ordered just gotta get the short block to the machine shop. Should be a blast to drive once it’s all done.

My wife drove a GL450 for about 10 years, and it was a great car. The only issues we had were with the suspension airbags and eventually the front end bushings/etc got worn out. The 550 with more power must be a lot of fun

Is it hard to ceramic coat? Time consuming I imagine. I’ve hear it’s all in the prep. I guess I should watch some videos but I want to try it
