If you look at the aerator tube its not hitting the swimstep

I never claimed it was. I also have a hard time believing DCB would rig a boat where the aerators would hit the transom. But who knows?

Sorry RD my response us vague. Someone posted a side shot of the drives, and in the picture the aerator tube was buried into the transom. In the most recent jayboat photo it doesnt appear that way. Was just my observation via forum photos

In the photo of the boat on it's side you can see that it's not over trimmed. It looks like almost no trim the skeg looks to be below the direct line of the bottom of the hull.

I think it funny how people will look at the pic of the boat on the trailer and make a judgement call on where the
Trim had to be under power but when a picture gets posted that proves trim position nobody can see it!

Is the shutter speed on the camera fast enough to picture the prop as if its not moving?

Still looks over trimmed for conditions to me. Not anything like it was in the trailer though. That boat, crossing wakes at high speed should be just above neutral in my opinion. You want to keep the nose flat.

How my boat is set up on the throttle is it has a limiter on the trim as to how high it can go while underway. If ever needed more trim I have a override switch when under way on the dash. I know my old ultra you can trim it to the moon with the throttle switch. But it was the cheapo mercury throttle. On my current boat I have the In-Control throttle with the limiter. I'm sure this Dcb would be set up similar?

That is such an unreal photo! I can't imagine what would be going through those guys minds at that time. They are so lucky to be alive.Wow!!

Just before ejection, look close- you can see the driver's hand on the steering wheel. :eek

No idea who's driving this thing. :cool

My guess would be yeah absolutely, 1/800th of a second vs about 1/60th of a second the prop would take to make a full revolution at 3,600 rpm (not sure what gear ratios the drives are, or his engine speed, just 3600 is probably ballpark and easy to figure at 60 revs per second).... Only about half a blade width of blurring, maybe a little less., about 25 degrees of prop rotation if my napkin math is correct.

I clipped the last boat out of this frame because everyone in the chopper was screaming about the chick in the purple. UltraBabe?

Last year I thought the early thursday shots from the setup produced some of the most interesting images of the whole week.
This year was no different.

Plus- I came prepared with a video camera and a tripod for some slow channel runs (*cough* ricky *cough*)... :cool
That didn't happen, but I was able to manage a run through the setup of the street festival in the convertible.
I was trying to not run over shit and pan a little at the same time- gotta work on my panning speed.
It does give some idea of the effort involved with an event like this.
