To sit alone or with a few friends, half-drunk under a full moon, you just understand how lucky you are. It’s a story you can’t tell—a story you almost, by definition, can’t share.

I’ve learned in real time to look at those moments and realize: I just had a really good moment.”

I miss it sometimes. The memories are great. Don't miss the aches, pains and broken bones. LOL

Just did it for ten days at dirt diggers out in the desert.
I’m good for about 4 days out there, after that things start getting weird LOL

Nice! Is that out at your land?
Yes, we had Thanksgiving with 13 families this year, I’d guess around 50 people in the crew between kids and adults. Big potluck deal the girls put together. My favorite trip of the year as it’s all about friends and family. Our daughter is getting her driving permit today, I’m afraid to blink as she will be off to college, as always I wish I could just hit the pause button.

Not gonna lie, it’s a lot of work to make it all happen, I’ve got our program pretty streamlined these days, flat tow the jeep behind a little class c and try not to do dumb shit LOL

In a weird space right now, between the kiddo growing up and the elders growing old, it’s an odd season. I’m sure we’ll come out the other side a little different 🤷‍♂️
Just keep in mind we're next. LOL!

Did a few good rides last weekend since the boat motor broke in Bako. One nice thing about having kids before getting too old is still being able to do physical stuff with them as adults. 🌵 time is one of the few times I get left alone so it clears the head.

Right there with you...my wife and I are trying to navigate this. One off to college and two at home in high school. Competing priorities, needs and maturing. Proud of them but this season in life is hard...definitely would like to hit the pause button for a bit.
