Warm up ride today Topock today. Little under an hour there, probably a little faster back. Paul doesn’t mess around. 😁

Hey Lynn great to hear that you are able to make it to town for the event. Looking forward to catching up. 👍 Be sure to tell Caddy Jeff to bring his paper work the day of the event. LOL

Did 160 miles today already. @HNL2LHC great day!!!!
It was a great day Ian. I had 78 miles on the journey home. So we might be a bit over your 160. Then add in the extra distance I had getting lost going up the hill even though you said getting lost is not possible. Then the extra mile back to help with the flat tire. 🤪

It’s a fun run for sure. I didn’t realize it was this weekend or I would have planned on it. 😬

Question for the locals or people who have been at this a while.

The event seems to sell out, so I guess the Chamber has this on cruise control. I went to pick up my package last night and the place was a ghost town. Half dozen vendors.

Does the event attract outside participants or is it just the locals, snowbirds and weekend warriors from SoCa? Seems like a good opportunity for a UTV based company to get in front of pretty large group, but it also seems like the participants roll in to the starting gun, peel out and boogie home at the finish.

I've never stayed for the raffle, so does the post event ceremony kick off pretty good?

The promoter in me is always looking through that lens, I've got a buddy that runs a tire company and this seems a good fit. I'm suspecting since it's Chamber sponsored they don't want outside businesses promoted, however he sells through distribution and I'm guessing he has one in LHC.

Full blown dust bowl. We were car 20 off the line, couldn’t see shit till first card stop, we didn’t stop and get out at #1 just got poker hand and hauled ass to #2.

I got a flat tire between 2 and 3.

We pulled up to card stop 4 at 11:00 am.

Finished at 12:30 pm.

The hangars 24 car needs to not do this run again if they are not going to pull over, they were going like 12 mph with a line of 20/3 cars behind them, we had some words at the finish line.

Everyone else for the most part pulled over and let us by.

My car just works out there. I passed about 5 cars in Mohave wash going 75 and 80 next stop those cars came over and asked how fast I was going. I said about 80 or so. They said they didn’t even know their x3 max could go that fast and that I made a clean smooth pass on them!!!

Overall I passed about 20 cars ( some more than once as we leaped frogged each other)

Good event dust was out of control. Washboard wasn’t too bad this year

Used to have Polaris involved. But that was years ago. They used to serve dinner and it was much more of a production with a beer garden and all. After Covid the even died down on the vendor front same # of entries tho.

Anderson power sports doesn’t sponser like Az west used to

I’ve done that run a half dozen times. Every time I do it I tell myself never again. It’s too dusty and the slow traffic bogs down the trails. Then a couple years goes by and I forget how frustrating it is and do it again. I have pumpers so the dust doesn’t bother me, not being able to see in that first wash is pretty crazy though

Same I had helmet and pumper going so dust didn’t bother me except to see the wash with sun coming up its was total blindness out of the gate for the first 7 miles

We were stuck behind the Hanger 24 car for about the last 5 miles or so. Dusty is an understatement! You’re right, the washboard wasn’t bad at all. Overall, it was a good day… no casualties in our group.

Have a great day guys !
Wish I was out drinking …. Ahh riding w/ ya !
You missed out Doug. Running with @Bpracing1127 yesterday identified his weaknesses to me and I passed him on the second lap right before we crossed the finished line…. 🤪 It was a great DUSTY day. Look Forward to the next time that you are able to make it out for a ride. Be sure to reach out when you are able to get out here. 👍 Hope that the concert is a blast!!!!

I always enjoy the company on this run, it's not a race, you just have to accept there are a lot of people and cruise. It is the king of the dust bowls. Had a great time, thanks to everyone that makes this event happen, the volunteers in the desert in impressive.

First 5ish miles were pretty dusty. I might have said “why did we do this again” to my wife a few times. It honestly wasn’t that bad after. Great times with a lot of fun people.

HAHA... We started about 150th and passed our share of cars and then some. 🤣 Had to get back to see your favorite pup. She spent the night at Chuck and Linda's.

Desert bash was a blast again!! They ran the course backwards this year and changed a few of the routes to sections that were different then years past.. kinda cool!

It was me and Sierra this year.. I tried to get her to drive but she wasn’t feeling good about all the other cars

Did all of the Speed cars make the loop? I passed two on that fast graded section before Stop 3. I saw one stopped and they looked to be looking at something in the motor area...

We were nearly dead last (We beat @RiverDave and @HNL2LHC but only due to faster pit stops). Didn’t see any Speed Cars down except for the high number car. Something broke on the 95 a mile or so from the cement plant.

All of them made it to my knowledge? The high number car broke a belt on the asphalt on the way home.. all the owners are stoked with the cars and I can say after years of doing desert bash this car is light years ahead of my previous cars

We got back and I coulda done that loop two more times without being fatigued..
