Anyone going? Do they have food there (burgers?). Food not listed on their website or Facebook page.

Actually, it is only one vendor, but he has an assortment of different food items. Nick (former owner of Two Guys restaurant here in Havasu) is the vendor. He won't start this year until about three or four weeks after the opening, but when he does, he will be taking over all food sales. Until then, Desert Bar will be offering the hamburgers and hot dogs they have always offered. Oh, and don't think of even asking for cheese until Nick gets there. :D

I asked the pimple faced kid taking orders once for a cheese burger years ago, he didn't look up, just pointed to the sign.

Offload route that starts behind River Isle Market. Not too tough, but rocky and slow going.

Great jeep run, one of the early hills is pretty intense because it's basically a huge rock, blind over the top and to the left its a bit of a long roll down the hill.

Thanks, I looked it up on google map. Looks interesting! I've been there from Shea road and Cinega Spings road. Now I'll try this route.

Will be out there with a large group Hunting as well. I'll take the Newb's over to check it out. I don't remember it being open on Labor Day, has it been bought and sold in the last few years ?

Never got the cheese deal. Would it kill them to carry a block of American fuckin cheese? How about some onions? Or pickles? Wtf? I won't stand in line and over pay for that shitty chili and plain hamburger.

The chili is right out of the can. I've watched them open it. Weak. But again if you're hungry (prior to vendor there) beggars can't be choosers.

For a while, and I dunno if Kenny still does this, Kenny let High School kids sell food and they ran the barbecue kinda like their own "cottage" business. The kids would purchase supplies, pre-pair, cook, sell, clean, do the books just as if they ran their own business,,, which in fact, they somewhat did.

It was loosly in coordination with the faculty of Parker HS,, I think, but don't hold me to this take,,, it's how I was told.

Occasionally, hell,, every time we visited, the HS kids would flake out, or act like shit, or get lazy, and one of the bartenders like Chris or Wendy or Kenny would have to stick their foot up the kids ass as an attitude correction.
A much needed correction from our observations.

So,, real vendors would most certainly help the Desert Bar experience.
The old saying,,, "No good deed goes unpunished."

There were a couple 2 or 3 of food trailers there last year? Were all of them his? Everything from the big pretzels, to philly cheesesteak sandwhiches to pizza and other food as well?

For the love of god, if you have one of those slow ass jeeps.. Move over and let the band go through.. :D That goes for the Dessert Bar road as well..

Small nimble trails like that it has more to do with the smaller size then capability. There are trails I'm sure Wes's FJ would tear up most side x sides.. That ain't one of them.

Since I go both ways, not really, but I have a jeep and a RZR, I pull over and let the speedy little fucks go by.

Do people really go to the desert bar on labor day? Last thing i would think about would be sitting in the middle of the desert drinking semi warm beer when it 100 out and boating season is coming to a end...

Nothing to be scared of... just a dumb furry animal.

Now a SEAL is something you might want to worry about.

Nice job on the loophole there Brandon. :D
