Deja Vu In the Bahamas

Took my lovely bride on a nice 17 day Bahamas vacation.

We started out in Freeport at Memories Grand Bahamas All Inclusive for two nights to celebrate our 27 years of marriage.
Awesome place to stay! Right across the street from Port Lucuya marketplace.

We took a parasail ride which was breathtaking.
After we celebrated our anniversary we moved to our Timeshare trade at Taino Beach Resort.

My wife has always wanted to swim with the dolphins so we purchased a dolphin swim package.
20 mins of 1 on 1 time with a dolphin. Afterwards the dolphins performed some tricks for us.



We also did a Pat & Dianne snorkel tour where you snorkel at a reef then spend the day on a private beach for a BBQ.







For Week 2 we flew Bahamas Air over to Grand Abaco and stayed at Treasure Cay Resort

Treasure Cay Resort and Marina has boat slips for each condo.





Treasure Cay beach is rated one of the top 10 beaches in the World.





The powder white sand is super fine





Amazing turquoise water!



Beauty at Sunrise Point



Flew back over to Freeport for one final night.

We really enjoyed it. The local Bohemians are very friendly. I learned every day is Friday in The Bahamas!

Also...As a US citizen you can own a single family home under $250k and you pay NO property tax!
There are quite a few homes available under that price range in Freeport and on Abaco.
And...You can stay up to 8 months without a VISA.

Yes and No, we had the resorts to ourselves mid week then on the weekends lots of folks ride the ferry over from FLA.

Then I have a list of things to fix from our Buyers of the house.

But I will say that I like The Bahamas better than Hawaii...and I really love Hawaii.

Love the Carribean beaches, most are soft and fluffy.
Mid-Summer though, I'll pass. Me and 90% humidity don't mix well.

When you are in the water 90% of the time you don't really notice
All resorts have A/C so that helps a lot.

The water temps are the warmest in the summer...80-83 where we were.

Bahamas is where I did find a new shirt I love. Made with bamboo and keeps you cooler. [emoji106] Cariloha.

Cool trip! We stayed a week in June in Freeport, Bahamas. I fell in love with the place. We have friends that have a condo in the canals and a few other properties in Freeport. I'm going to buy a place out there too. It's a good change from the usual River routine.

I've never been and we are going for the history. We picked September to hopefully avoid the crowds and the humidity.
