Remember when you were a kid, and scoring an STP decal made you the coolest of the cool?

๐Ÿ˜Ž

These are a few of my collection. I added the autographed Scott Brayton hero card, and it's special. Scott signed it for me the year before he died in a practice crash at Indy in 1996. He was a great person, friendly to all and a hard charging racer. I also included the Spirit of Rett hero card. Being part of that team produced the best memories of my racing career.

Notice there's a Shocker! in the pile... ๐Ÿ˜

I still get excited if the gear I get comes with a sticker. I just got a set of Recaro seats for my 911, and they came with several big Recaro stickers. I'm pretty sure I said out loud, "oh fuck ya" when I found the stickers in the package. One went right on the toolbox.

My KNAC sticker finally wore off my tool box.
Products with stickers are the best!

I've got a Moritz Machine decal that Infomaniac gave me personally at the spring Vagas races some years ago... I'd have to restack the garage to pull my toolbox out to show it off.

This is my crusty old shop fridge, I have no idea how old this thing is but it just keeps on going. Itโ€™s collected a few stickers over the years. A lot of rock auto magnets at this point too.

Born and raised until 11 years old in Sun Valley, Sheldon and Bromont Streets. My parents owned both houses from the corner of Bromont on Sheldon. The third one went up for sale and they missed out. Gang bangers moved in and we were out.

โ€ฆBangers moved into the Stonehurst area๐Ÿ˜ณโ€ฆ I guess I shouldnโ€™t be surprisedโ€ฆ as they would hang out at Stonehurst Parkโ€ฆ

Someone on here suggested getting magnetic sheets and putting the stickers on that then putting the sheet to the fridge. That way you always have them.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
Thatโ€™s what I did with the EV stickers for the Tesla when we lived in CA. Got the sheets from Amazon. Works great.

KSJO, when it played Rock n Roll! ๐Ÿ˜Ž. Like 95% of other hard rock stations in the US, it bit the dust and changed to Spanish programming.

I have a lot of stickers, just very few actually used. Still get pumped when a stickers is in the box of goodies. Some vendors throw in candy now too (Sweetwater throws in several pieces).

โ€ฆ My friend, the Judge. who lives up the hill in Shadow Hills did his early voting at the parkโ€ฆ I think it was Thursdayโ€ฆ I can only imagine, what it was like to early vote there this past weekendโ€ฆ Yikesโ€ฆ๐Ÿ˜ณ

I guess Iโ€™m a grouch today.
So I gotta say it.

Thereโ€™s a difference between stickers and decals.
But?
I suppose itโ€™s like the calling an engine a motor, both are used even though there is again, a difference๐Ÿ˜Ž

Iโ€™ll go crawl back under my rock now๐Ÿ˜

A sticker, you peal off the back and stick it on something. With a decal it's a 2 step process where you peal off the backing, place the decal, use a tool to press it on and then peel of the front.
Thereโ€™s usually water involved in floating the decal off its backer peel too๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‘
But yes you must be old too๐Ÿ˜‚

Iโ€™m sure Iโ€™m not the only one building plastic model cars back in the day, floating the SS stripes in the hood and trunk lid.
Those were the days.
