Havasu Landing hotel?
Ok...so you got me thinking....what I thought was the islander was actually the HL Hotel... so this is somewhere north of Windsor (as mentioned earlier) looking across at the landing....Now my heads on straight...

I bet this little boat was questioning his existence Friday morning. I know there was a boat coming back to the gorge from the north that didn’t really know where he wanted to go. Good thing that there were not any issues on the water….that I know of.

We got roosted by Fade2Black. Shit was no joke. It hurts 🤣🤣
There were a few situations this year like that, we got washed down bad as well, when i spoke to the guy he tried to deny it all and claimed to be in a different boat all together. Just glad the wife’s camera and equipment was put away at the moment.
Definitely some guys who just think theyre cooler because their boats are bigger.

I run a GoPro front and rear on the big (fast) boats now. So many idiots, jet skis, did I mention idiots that could make life miserable if something was to go wrong and it turns into a he/she said game. I run a dash cam on my commuter suburban for the same reasons.

Last time I went up from Havasu I kept my head on a swivel, and having a rear facing mirror, if I saw someone coming up behind me I’d turn and look at them so they could see that I saw them. And then I’d hold my line as much as possible. And also I’d increase speed if it looked like I was holding the guy up and I was able to.

In short, I didn’t want someone blowing past me trying to pass as fast as possible because they didn’t trust what I was going to do. I wanted them to know they’d been seen and they could pick how to pass without worrying about me.

Got soaked down last year, I wasn’t driving but saw the boat coming up quick, told the driver just hold his line and drive straight, they will pass. (We were in a wakeboard boat doing maybe 32-35mph, no ballast btw, not a new wave maker boat) We were on the right hand side of the river heading north. F29 blew by us and was already moving over before he even got passed us. Soaked the front of the boat. We brushed it off but a little annoyed because the river was wide open and there was no need for it. Pulled into pirates to slip the boat for the night and the driver of the 29 threw both arms up at us from the beach as we passed like we shouldn’t have even been on the water.

Yea i was running side by side with an M28 headed north just before the bouy’s north of the mouth, he came up my starboard side and the second he cleared my bow came over, i let off pretty quick but had someone right behind us the M28 went far left and let off as well. Dude was in a blue F32, when i spoke to him at pirates he kept telling me “no man no i have a red boat” i just let him know im not dumb, then walked up past them while he was standing at the helm of his blue F32 and shook my head, he looked away as soon as i walked past.

But back to the fun, wife started to go through pics and sent me these so far.

and people ask me why I stay far away from HAVAZOO. People, no matter their income, are fucking idiots on that stretch of river. Obviously not everybody, but it is the Bermuda triangle of the west, as is Lake Pleasant.

Anyway, nice pics and beautiful boats!

It is sounding like if you cant't cruise at 100 MPH consistently you should stay away from the DCB Regatta.

Last year I went with the 22 and told myself I needed a bigger boat.

This year I went with the 26 and told myself I needed a bigger boat.

Vicious cycle.. 🤣

There happens to be a nice 52 footer for sale that might fit the bill!

Hell, now I wish I had been there although the Formula might not have fit in. 😁

A really impressive 44 with 1550s tied up at the Heat with matching pair of kicks!
