DCB M42R deck and hull plugs being machined at Marine Concepts

We are proud of our partnership with Design Concepts/Marine Concepts. From CAD, to CNC, to mold completion, these guys are awesome! The fact that the mill is 100' long and has serious accuracy is beyond cool.

The first M42R out of the molds produced from these plugs will be on the water this fall...

Great question! Unfortunately that is an item that is proprietary to them, even I am not privy on the answer to that one.

I'm going to assume you mean "CNC" machine... I don't know the cost, but I do know how much they are to rent, and it's got a lot of zeros and almost two commas in the price.

There are a handful of them around, getting time on one is a waiting exercise. Some companies use a smaller machine and move the base to be machined. While this gets results, it's not as accurate as leaving the part sit for the entire machining operation.

Awesome to see that you are still enjoying the move. Must be a blast going into work each day and working on a top tier product. I am right there with you on the beauty of the desert. People think that I am crazy being willing to leave Hawaii for AZ. We just got back from a motorcycle ride from Havasu to Phoenix through Wickenburg. Always enjoy the area between Phoenix and Wickenburg.

Technically we announced it at our Grand Opening Open House January 20, 2024. We are taking orders, but it has not started production yet...couple more months before we start Hull 001.

The same people that own "Bank Owned" M37R (First M37R) are getting the first M42R. By the looks of his back window, he is proud of that! And we appreciate them...
