People are resistant to change I suppose.. I kind of liked it myself. That said the M's don't really start cruising until 90+ so I am wondering a little about the wind tunnel effect on this deal.
Hard to say without going in it.. But typically speaking I think your right.. Hell sitting in the middle seat in a canopy boat going 90-100+. Is miserable.. If they keep people in the back at higher speeds though I'm not sure it would be much different then a canopy boat? Can't really say until you go ride in it.
I recently completed templating my entire deck boat. It'll go to Seadeck after one floor modification by Nordic. As much as I love the feel of carpet in a boat, the popularity of seadek has exploded in the past few years especially with the addition of custom designs. Cool to see it used in this application.

So what exactly is seadek? Is it hard? Or is it like low pile felt? I can't really tell from the pics and I've never seen it.
Nevermind, found seadeks website. Cool stuff.

Felt it and instantly fell in love with it last year at Desert Storm. The big 40 foot center console had it.
I'm going to order the faux teak look. What thickness are you going with?
I'm going to order the faux teak look.
Starts at 6 mil, two seperate colored layers and after the brushing of the surface I believe it ends up 5.
On the bow deck itself I'm thinking of going plain white single layer 6mil.
I templated the floor. Biggest hurdle will be the front 3rd. Its bigger than the material so it'll either be 2 or 3 pieces. The rest lays out nicely. I can visualize it and it looks good....keeping in mind the wash down flow front to rear. The faux teak looks great in the right boat with a good pattern. Is Nordic managing the project? The pattern will make/break the look.
Just an FYI the white tends to get dirty much faster. It would look awesome new with the bright white on the bow but could appear dingy over time with lots of foot traffic.
