It’s basically an eliminator eagle, in the early days of dcb, Dave bought the hulls from eliminator and then rigged them himself as scabs.

That engine would sell for close to $20k. My guess is that it’s a scam.

Maybe the guy doesn't know what he has....or doesn't know how the market is right now. Number checks out and reverse image search checks out with no other listings......

Yep, might be legit. Everything checks out. OP should contact him/her.

They are fast and look good. Relatively narrow beam. Not a great rough water boat, but it is a hotrod. Decent room in the open bow, mid cuddy is a tight crawl-thru like many 23' boats.

Sounds like the motor has been rebuilt - "600hp with build sheet".
Depending on who rebuilt it that might squash the blue motor resale

This is just a stepped hull version of the 23XS/Cobra 230 Razor hull with integrated swim step.

With those huge tabs, it will likely drive pretty well.

Had one, I liked it. It was/is a 24 extreme, double step with an Hp500. RDP member Bocco owns it now. Should have kept it.

Thanks for all your help. The ad was actually just deleted. That was a way below my budget.

I do love the boat. It is on the small side but I like the feel of a smaller boat. Handles great even without tabs. To bad the add is gone. It may not have sold and just might end up with a broker.

What was the asking price?

Its not exactly and eagle.

the 24 extreme and ultra 247 are the same molds. I have one. I little bit more narrow than and eliminator, but light and fast for its size. I spin a 27P prop close to 4900 or so.

I think the bottom is close to a 23 Eagle XP.

Mine has 1.50 gears and a 26P prop. I want to try a 28 but can't find one to demo.

Mine is a 26P bravo that is worked up. I am in HB if you want to try it. I had it labbed, cut down the diameter by 1/2" and took the cup out of the blades. I also have a stock 26P bravo. I can feel the difference immediately.

This hull was originally a DCB design. Then sold to Ultra.

I think they were originally eliminators? Or someone? Then Dave got them, then ultra, then lightning.. I don’t remember who has them now

My recollection was DCB tooled this model. But may have been based on an Eliminator 22 strait bottom/non-euro step boat.

Still one of my favorite looking hulls.

I think Tahiti might make them now.

And one of the all time great 247's was owned by Nashvillebound. A whippled 500HP that hauled the mail.

Ron Ehde designed it...
He also was responsible for the Eliminator XP Eagle series step bottoms as well as the original 25 Daytona's
DCB has the same handling characteristics as the 236/250 Eagles.
Delta pad bottom, you gotta trim them up get em on the pad and let them dance.
...fun boats.

Kinda hard to see,but my last 250 Eagle had a set of 280-S offshore K tabs...
As HBCraig stated...they're a must for high speeds on that platform...

Is the ultra comparable quality to the DCB?

Probably comparable to what DCB was building at the time. Mine is a good well built boat but not over the top like the new stuff.

Also last time I looked at the Tahiti Offshore website it looked like they stopped offering the 247.

Just a humble opinion but DCB always had better quality than Ultra

DCB has a better finish I believe. I also believe that a John West Ultra is a superior Ultra product. Only my opinion.

Agreed. Ultra did better gelcoat work. They were just focused on different markets

I’d take a early 2000s Cobra or Ultra over those mid to late 90s DCBs anytime in this particular boat/hull. The Cobras are finished the nicest generally speaking.

Mine is a 2004. Here are a few pics for reference against a Cobra or Eliminator. I have Livorsi controls and opted to not have a cuddy seat. I have open storage on one side and close on the other.

I really like that Ultra. The color scheme is very cool. Maybe I should pay more attention to them. I just havent seen very many forsale used.

Did cobra use this hull as well? Sorry if I misunderstood the comment.

Cobra and Ultra and a couple others used the straight bottom version of this hull. It has no integrated swim step and is 23 feet long. Interior is identical. That boat started out life as a DCB/Eliminator 22 Extreme.

I havent posted on here in a while. I'm just curious as to what's going on with this boat. It is listed forsale again at an even lower price. It is the third time this year I've seen it forsale with new prices and the same pictures. Any insight would be much appreciated. Thanks.

It looks a little rough to me. In good condition I would value that at about $25K. Looks like it needs an interior. Sounds like the motor is rebuilt so you may want to research that. Not sure what Aggressor means.

Something about it seems very off. I dont mind having an interior done. Im just not looking to have any major mechanical issues. I have not called him because I'm working alot and wont have time off until November

Keep in mind that the 24 Extreme was only the 22 Extreme with a swim platform added so not a longer running surface.

I'm fine with something a little smaller, I have very little experience.
