First and foremost cut me slack, I'm new to the boards, just a buddy of Dave's that has the Stream Smart Boxes.
Dave told me to start a new thread because the other one was so long and he was concerned that maybe he didn't answer some questions right. so here's my thread, if you have any questions I'd be happy to answer them.

The box I gave him does everything he said it does and sooo much more that I can't even go into detail. I understand that there are a lot of boxes out there that are similar, but really only by hardware. This box offers a ton of value added features that no one else has because we developed them and pay thousands per month to keep them running for our customers only and I can guarantee that.

Our private links allow you to watch Live PPV Events for FREE in HD with no buffering issues unlike our competition which uses public links that the entire world has access to. We offer 30 live TV Channels also in HD such as CNN, CNBC, FOX SPORTS, ESPN, DISCOVERY, SYFY, ABC, CBS, NBC, CW just to name a few. Also lets not forget the live NFL,(blackout games) MLB, NHL, NBA, Soccer and much more and all live sports become on demand the next day.

This is only the tip of the iceberg, you can watch every TV show, season and episode the next day after it airs commercial free. Tons of kids shows like Nick Jr, Disney Jr, Kids WB as well as Pixar and Disney Movie areas. Expendables 3 which is in the movie theaters right now is already in HD on the box, need I say more. Hit me up with all your questions, I have been doing this for the last 16 months, I have been providing live tech support to the entire San Diego County area for over a year and have sold over 8000 boxes nationwide. The company has sold over 100,000 boxes since May of last year.

Sorry for the website troubles over the weekend for those who tried to order. The box offered on my site is the old one and is being updated to the newest one which is only a week old that's why it's not up. They will be available on RDP Storefront soon. I told Dave he's going to want to sell them I guess the box sold him...Lol

Bye the way I am a boater, had the original 42 Cigarette personally built for Don Aronow with triple 900's before the economy took a dive. Gas was insane! What I sold it for was even more insane..lol

Thanks for the support RDP, looking forward to helping as many members save as much money as they can.

RDP Promocode coming soon and in the mean time just go to myfreecabletv.com and order from there.

Thanks RDP again

Sincerely
Dave Montana, BigdattyD

Looks like the one with the remote is more$$$

Is it Wireless so it can go anywhere around the house?

Since Dave is busy right now.. The bad ass box is 350.00 retail. If you buy the 249.00 one he will send you the bad ass box that is part of the RDP special. The remote is 30.00 more. (You want the remote)

There is no fees after purchase. You buy the box and upgraded remote and you are done. He still hasn't updated his website to show the new box. Retail price on the new billy bad ass ones is 350.00. For RDP it is 250 + 30 for the remote.

The remote is wireless, but in my personal experience the range is short, so you can't walk around the house. Typical sitting on the couch is fine.. Walking outside not so much, but that's my experience.

I'm going to put them in the RDP store front tomorrow or the next day.. and I'll keep them local to ship to members. These things are flippin awesome.

Dave, these work off of a secure wifi, correct? So, since I have unlimited data hotspot on my phone, I could take this thing anywhere and plug in the HDMI cable and watch whatever I want? Will be ordering one when they are up, if you will ship to Mesa. I'm ready to kick Direct TV to the curb after the summer we have had.

Not to kill the sale but it would be dishonest to let you buy one just to find out your Hotspot isn't strong enough. Here's the problem with using a mobile Hotspot or your phone, depending on the carrier and their coverage map, you would have to know if you are in a 4G area which would hypothetically give you as much as 18mbps download speed, which is plenty fast however using it all the time could swell your battery and ruin your phone especially an Iphone which are sealed. And when in a 3G area you will only generate about 3mbps which will not provide enough data speed to play anything.

The S3 Pro is a highly advanced Android device that basically turns your TV into a huge Android tablet and requires super fast download speed (minimum 13 mpbs) to process and play pre-recorded media. I have done over 400 in-home demos and what I have learned is Cable Fiber Optic Providers are the best and DSL providers like AT&T or Century Link just suck and is the thorn in my side. If you have more than 13 mbps download speed or have the ability to upgrade to a higher speed and downgrade your channels or completely cut your cable all together you will save a boat load of money on premium cable channels and PPV Events.

I hope this has helped you better understand android technology and why speed equals performance.

Is this like a Roku on steroids?

That's kind of a way to describe what it can do, but its so much more than that. Think of a device that literately offers you the moon, that's what this is. It has no limits and it can't be stopped. Android Technology is in its infancy stage and grows everyday like grass. I have seen the technology growth in the last 16 months multiply 10 times over. I can't even imagine where we will be one year from now.

Understand we only provide the mechanical means to access third party addons located all over the world. Nothing offered on this box streams from within the United States, everything is offshore and is legal in terms of how content is obtained.

The reason why a Roku, Netflix, Hulu, or Apple TV has limited programming is because it is all licensed content and controlled by the owners of that media. Third party addons that offer movies that haven't even hit PPV provide open sourced servers allowing anyone in the world to upload to that server, so if an anonymous person provides that media the source holds no liability because it was uploaded anonymously.

When you watch that movie as a stream and not a download your ISP see's it the same way it see's a Roku or Netflix.

US International Streaming Laws clearly define what is considered watching illegal copy written media as a download. When you download a movie from a torrent site that is considered to be illegal because you have tangible intellectual property located on your hard drive that can be used against you. The S3 Pro has Auto Purge which deletes what you watch as you watch it. When your done there are no traces you ever watched it.

Don't you think it's time to turn the tables on all the cable/satellite Providers who are always raising rates and making billions.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

RD has been answering a bunch of questions and doing a mighty fine job at that for how long he has had it. That just go's to show it doesn't require rocket science to learn new technology. I am 53 and know quite a bit about this Technology, tech support, programming and development. Just 16 months ago I knew nothing about these android boxes.

If you want answers I will try to answer them as best I can. Apologies to everyone for taking sooo long to jump on the forum.

Is this a similar device like "aereo" I believe they were trying to do the re-broadcast thing. I don't believe it passed but it was mostly in the east coast?

Definitely interested. Very informative information.

As we can foretell, the future of android technology is very bright. Our box is not built like the rest, the housing is made of high grade aircraft aluminum not plastic, its not made in China, the owner is a Korean Computer Engineer who has his own factory in Korea and lives in Oceanside CA. As long as we live in a democracy with unregulated internet this technology will be around.

As far as local channels, the only thing that is truly local is news everything else is syndicated broadcasting and can be found on the box.
as for local news if you are thinking of cutting cable all together and your geographical area is somewhat flat you can use an HDTV Digital Antenna to hone in on some local channels that have news.

One of our proprietary features we pay for $1000 per month so our customers can get it for free is 30 live Cable Channels that stream in HD.

As for taking the box on the road, as long as there is adequate internet speed (13+mpbs) you can pack it up and take it anywhere.

I hope this has helped.

No its totally and completely different then AEREO. Aereo was shut down by the Supreme Court for creating technology capable of grabbing broadcasting signals out of the air and stream them to their customers at a much lower price. They lost not because they were streaming licensed media but more so because they were actually stealing the signal from the broadcasting stations similar to stealing satellite using an illegal black satellite box. That's why they lost.

Our box only require an internet signal that you me and everyone pays for already. Third Party Addons located throughout the world in the UK, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, New Zealand, even Vietnam are providing the links and sources to access international servers to stream media through our box. It truly is a huge loophole that circumvents our international streaming laws.

I hope this helps

Dave M, that's a good question, are the updates auto w interactions or by USB?

This is a good question that I have to answer. When we first launched May of last year (2013) all firmware updates had to be downloaded using Skype. If the customer did not know how, I would have to personally drive out to their home and manually update it. Well those days have been long gone for about a year now. The DigiXstream engineering team developed an app that allows the user to update to the newest firmware using and SD Card that inserts on the the side of the box, the app was integrated into our proprietary firmware and is called the OTA which stands for Over-The-Air auto updater.

As for all the XBMC Channels they auto update hourly so when your show is aired its on the box the following day On-Demand. No more need for a DVR Box, that's $20 per month.

I hope this helps.

Lol yes I guess I am. I am in still working with my web guy to get all the issues fixed on my products page. My last web guy put walls up to stop other web developers from taking over his acct. Unfortunately the new guy is having a tough time fixing things and actually making it worse. Hopefully his skill set will allow him to get past these hurdles.

Once fixed the new Smart Stream Boxes will retail for $349 plus $10 shipping and handling - using the RDPFREE Promo Code cuts $100 off the price. Total price including shipping $259.00 with lifetime updates, web support, and live tech support if needed.

The combo pak is the best way to go as it includes the coolest mini keyboard that works a 100 time better than the remote control that comes with the box. Combo pak retails for 379 plus $10 shipping and handling - using the RDPFREE Promo Code cuts $100 off the price. Total price including shipping $289.00 with lifetime updates, web support, and live tech support if needed.

Please be patient we are working to resolve the issues.

I hope this helps.

What's the difference between the $249.00 box and the $349.00 box?

As you can see the products page is pretty screwed thanks to some strategic sabotage by my former web designer. And the new guy is having a rough time getting past all the booby-traps that were set.

As for correct pricing. The first box I sold was the DigiXstream DX2 then cam the newer model the DX3 which retailed on my site for $249.
The newest box still made by DigiXstream now called Stream Smart S3 Pro which retails for $349 and has two added features that the DX3 does not. 1st is Sports Access that is a subscription based addon that costs $24 per month to access all the live sports areas, NFL, MLB etc.. You pay 0 because the company pays it for you - 2nd is USTVNOW also subscription based addon that costs $20 per month for 30 live broadcasting channels streamed in HD, you pay 0 because the company pays it for you.

Using thr RDPFREE Promo Code will discount this box $100 so total plus shipping comes to $259.00

I hope this Helps.

Please clarify the NFL Football access.

There is no legal issues with owning the box and receiving the broadcast signals?

Thanks

Through Sports Access you are able to watch all the NFL games live including blackout games. this content is streaming from Canada and the UK. As far as legal issues, because everything on the box are through third parties located outside of US territories we cannot be held responsible for content not provided by us. Our box only provides a path to enter into XBMC Media Center for the purpose of searching and streaming free media content.

Another words we can not be told we can't sell a streaming media box. If half the Las Vegas Sheriffs dept are using them and San Diego, Riverside and LA County Sheriffs and police officers as well, I don't think anyone has to worry about a black ops squad breaking down your door anytime soon and arresting you for watching Breaking Bad!

I hope this help!

Is this product and the service it provides totally dependent on Dave Montana? What if Dave Montana somehow is incapacitated. You mention the ks you spend every month for licensing? Etc.

I am not the owner of DigiXstream I am however the first person on board to become an authorized dealer for its products and have been loyal to this company for 16 months. This is not a part time gig this is my full time day and night job and I actually enjoy doing live demos helping people save tons of money every month and as a result of my efforts I can say with complete honesty that 90% of my sales is referral based with tons of repeat customers selling over 800 to 1000 boxes a month and growing.

Myfreecabletv.com is my company and offers more tech support Q&A than anyone in the country. I have become extremely proficient in providing exceptional Tech Support to anyone who has purchased through me or one of my distributors. I am also in the process of developing a Q&A Video Tutorial Library for those who learn by visual aid. On my site I have an Updates tab that will always keep you up to date on latest news and firmware updates. If something happens to me everything will continue to function as I am not the one responsible for paying the various providers.

If I croak life go's on!

I hope this helps!

My DSL (AT&T) line is pretty slow (5.13 mbps) and would have to change to cable internet and the server for that in my area is Time Warner. :(
