Congrats. Enjoy. Your post #87 was excellent. MPG - We once had a jacked up 85 Suburban with some dumb assed big engine in it. To get to Mead, towing only a Tahiti, we had to turn off the AC and run with the windows down. Wife loved that car. But, she wasn’t impressed with those runs across the desert.

We used to be KINGS! Thats a great group shot.... I wouldn't be surprised if that crew was responsible for my interest in Off Shore boating.... it was around 1995-2000 when I was having my usual sushi and mai tais at the end of the Newport Beach Pier restaurant when about 5 beautiful speedboats came hauling ass el norte towards LongBeach... right near the pier. It was a beautiful sight!

The only problem with towing it with that dually, He is going to run out of gas money for the boat by the time he gets to the lake.

The good news with an older Dually (I’ve got one) is they have big gas tanks and there are no car payments.

If i'm going to tow the boat far i need to carry more fuel, it got 6 mpg towing yesterday and the tanks ran out at 18 gallons each , so need to figure out something, havasu and back is no biggie but farther is,
For a little bit i debated taking it to miami for the poker run next month but it just didnt make sense

I’m likely retiring the first quarter of next year and have the same thoughts. In my case a 38 gal. single tank in a V10 has the same issue.

Would like to do LOTO and the Bimini run as well. If not next year, certainly the following. As such, I’m thinking about a change. Really like the pre DEF Chevy crew cab 4x dually diesel in the 2007 to 2008:5 year range but so does everyone else. As such, they incur a significant premium and are hard to find.
