Anyone been paying attention. Jury can't come to unanimous decision and therefore can't deliberate on next charge. Will it go to mis trail? I sure hope he walks free. Such bullshit charges and none against the other people that helped him. Just liberal propaganda that let it get this far.

I would be absolutely ashamed if I was the prosecutors office. No way I would bring this. Especially hearing everyone witness testimony they were afraid of him. I mean that tells me he acted as a reasonable person would. I hope he gets off free.

The civil trial is gonna hurt, less of a standard. But still just crazy. If the deceased was white this would be a non story. He wouldn't be charged.

The fact that this brave young man was drug through this bullshit is a travesty of justice.

All the passengers on the subway car were grateful for what he did.

Illegal immigrants beating up cops, rampant shoplifting, car jackings, etc. etc. and this is what they are worried about?

I can not believe its day 3 of deliberations.
Granted I'm ruling in the court of public opinion--but he has to be not guilty.
Very few people stand up for others today. Anything less than NG and that guarantees nobody will help you for fear of prosecution.
Also I disagree that one can be sued civilly and held liable even after they have been found NG in court of law.

OJ would have agreed with you. It's a different system and the burden is lower. But in this particular case I don't disagree with you. It's absolutely bull.

Question for CCW insurance holders; hypothetically speaking:

If you hold a CCW and have liability insurance, does the insurance cover you if you choose non lethal force to detain the bad guy and they end up expiring? Your firearm stays holstered, you choke someone out and they die.

The last class I took talked about other forms of weapons, but we did not discuss the use of human resources. We even talked about Rocks and Sticks, but I did not think to ask about hands, spiritual powers or angry words as a form of weapon.

Begs the question; is this type of insurance going to be a new requirement even if you don't carry a firearm?

Jordan Neely's dad is Suing Daniel Penny also. Such BS
In a Manhattan court no less, He will probably win whether he is found guilty of the charges or not.
Neely's dad should be sued for not having the common decency to serve society in a positive manner and jack Jordan's unborn ass off onto a stump...

As Much as I believe He should walk , I have a hunch the Judge is trying invoke something called "Allen/charge" where The Judge trys to get them (the Jury) to negotiate to find some "common ground"

Here’s Daniel penny’s prosecutor bragging how she reduced a felony murder during robbery to manslaughter because she felt bad for his “past trauma”..

Depends on your carrier. I have USCCA and it covers hand to hand combat and other weapons. It is more or less self-defence insurance.

The judge did invoke Allen. Jury came back later in the day and said we can’t conclude.
Jury was told to move to the lessor charge.

Hopefully the same continues and the DA does not retry.

as for the dad, that civil case should be dismissed. The dad was no where in helping his kid, he showed up now to get a pay day. Total BS

Well, not here in Washington. Under state insurance regulations, insurance can’t be provided for defense against a crime. When this regulation was issued, all CCW insurance carriers were ultimately forced to pull out of the state. Therefore, if you shoot someone, even in self-defense, and are charged with a crime, you’re on your own here.

Just another way to discourage gun ownership.

From listening today. They came back again after being told to move on with the lesser charge with more questions. Seems like and I hope it’s at least a hung jury. On everything.
Of course I’d love a not guilty verdict.

Could you imagine if found guilty.
The next Good Samaritan having to sit by and watch some mother with a child in a stroller get assaulted. All because he wants to keep his freedom from these kind of charges. Sad times we live in.

Hasn't he been sitting in Jail awaiting trial, not to mention the mental and financial toll this is going to take on him. Guilty or not it could make a guy think about jumping in to help.

The mental toll goes without saying.
Not sure if there was bail or not.
But I would think/hope someone with a shit ton of money has said I got this. This guy is getting fucked. 🤷🙏

That ship has already sailed. Given the current state of affairs if someone needs assistance they are on their own.

" What if it were you sitting there while this mentally retarded man was making threats towards you and your child with a weapon in his hands" ????
NO SHIT , WHAT WOULD YOU DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would cheer for a vet with the know how to stop this guy, if he croaks then so be it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And this person trying to sue Penny should be jailed for STUPIDITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is Daniel Penny's prosecutor Dafna Yoran (Who repeatedly referred to Penny as the "White man" during the trial) , as profiled in Go Magazine's "100 Women We Love." She brags about pioneering the "restorative justice" sentence for an NYC murderer. pic.twitter.com/NVeFxko2dS

Surprise!
The prosecutor is "married" to a radical feminist artist who specializes in "Latinx" "Feminist" and "Decolonial" work. pic.twitter.com/TEOtkpy2S9
