With one last smile on his handsome face, Dan drove off into the unknown just before noon today, January 14, 2018. In deepest sorrow, with gratitude in our hearts for the love and joy you have given us during your time on this earth, we say ‘Godspeed.’

A man amongst men. He lived a full life with the pedal to the metal.

Sad. Definitely a legend in motorsports and a big influence on me since I was a kid and countless others I'm sure. All my childhood heroes are going. Gurney and "The Captain" were probably the two guys that were most impressive in their accomplishments and the type of men that they are. RIP.
