I’m showing 120 Friday. Who else is running up river for that colder water?
I just noticed thatI like the ad lol
Same here, I dont mess with it when its that hot. My wife keeps asking why we haven't been boating, Mi like "The last 3 weeks have all been over 110, ain't happening!". I guess this is my welcome gift to Arizona, and the $700 power billWhen i was younger that was still hot.Today forget about it wont bother,Not up for boating with hair dryer effect jump in water get driving again dry in a minute.
110 is about max for me in boat after that ills tick to the 550 stand up atleast on that i can easily put front end down and get splashed with cool water.
If your garage is closed, it’ll usually stay under 100°.I really need to get ac for the garage. I'm over stressing that the boat will melt in the garage. lmfao
Im in az as well and thought my 450 powerbill was high,Usually july and august are mid 400s. first 2 years was 550 but new ac is more effecient. But nice local lakes to boat at too just depends on weather tiday would have been nice with the overcastSame here, I dont mess with it when its that hot. I get into town tomorrow evening if you want me to swing by and save you a trip just let me know @DWCHeading up late Thursday or early Friday. I’d stay home but my f’g irrigation timer went offline a few weeks ago. . It’s suppose to keep watering but I have no idea what I’m coming back to. May just do a turn around.
$700 fuck me, how many sqf is your house? I have myself budgeted for $350 lolSame here, I dont mess with it when its that hot. I can see that for a Havasu house with a big garage. I was referring to gqchris’s AZ house.Ours gets up to 1200.00.
You know when they send you that little letter that says your energy usage and it has the whole town from low to high.. I shit you not they sent us one and ours wasn’t even on the graph.. it was all the way to the right of the page.
It’s hot as balls out here right now though and our house is set on 70 and the garage is 72.. Stacy gets hot flashes and uses her phone to fick with the thermostat all the time.. if it was me I’d leave it at 72 and be done.
Honestly though I think the majority of the bill is the water heater and the washer and dryer..
Three kids they take long showers and the washer / dryer run 24/7 here.. heating all that water and drying all those clothes is expensive when it’s all done electric.
I’d bet it’s about 7.00 a day to cool the garage and maybe 5-6.00 a day to cool the house..

I am moving out there this month and whatever rental we end up in won’t be more than 2000sqf. I have myself budget for $350 a month electrical as my 2200sqf CA house never gets over $350. Supposedly the Electricity rates in AZ are 1/3 the cost so I was hoping it would even be cheaper.
I keep my house at 75 year round
Gilbert or Queen Creek, close to where GQChris movedMoving to havasu?

We live in a 3400 square foot all electric house in Phoenix. We moved to a flat pay program and it is currently $311 per month year around. We keep both down and upstairs at 75 during the summer.I can see that for a Havasu house with a big garage. I was referring to gqchris’s AZ house.

I’m 1900 sf with a 5 ton unit. Keep 75-80 and like said it can get 450 range in these 115 degree days. House is insulated hood but have tall ceilings in living room and master. Windows in master and living room suck too.I can see that for a Havasu house with a big garage. I was referring to gqchris’s AZ house.

Get a Rachio - they work great. Thanks Tim. Doug is going to go by tomorrow and do some watering. I’m going to switch out the “smart controller” and end this crap. I’ve been on with their head IT person to get it fixed. I’m done.
6000 Sq Foot, 3 A/C's, I keep it like a meat locker. The Windows are not very efficient in the home and I think thats where the main issue lies. But the house is huge.$700 fuck me, how many sqf is your house? I have myself budgeted for $350 lol

Hit me up brother if you want a Tour or just to BS ! My parents just moved to San Tan Valley from TN. Your'e gonna love it.,Gilbert or Queen Creek, close to where GQChris moved
I had heat exhaustion back in 94.Hell my sister had a heat stroke at Topock 66 2 weekends ago. Way too hot.
So they say this will be a very hot summer and I hope they are wrong but its starting out like they said. !!!!!
We were here staying at Havasu Springs back when they said the record heat popped up, 128" and that was so frigging hot that you had to be in the water or the A/C cooled rooms. You couldnt touch anything that wasn't covered from the sun, stayed under the bimini or in the water and dont touch anything that wasnt shaded, even then it would burn you, lets hope it doesnt get like that!!!!!!!!!!

Im saving $2000 a month not paying for Private School for my oldest since AZ pays for that (Amazing ,right?) . So I take that as my power bill money.
When I moved here in January, the bill was $105 and stayed that way until just last month. Which was $450.
WORTH EVERY PENNY!
Im on Basic Plan with SRP
Will do! We just got back yesterday from checking the area out and are excited.Hit me up brother if you want a Tour or just to BS ! My parents just moved to San Tan Valley from TN. Your'e gonna love it.,

6 Bedroom, 5 bath. We overcompensated when moving from our 2 Bedroom 900 Sq Ft condo from being cooped up. Honestly its way too much space. But just wanted to lease to make sure we like the area and let the rates cool off a bit.6000 sq. Feet. How many bedrooms.
Sounds good!Hell Yea, Hit me up next time, ill PM you my number. Can show ya tons of stuff or just have some Cold Ones and let the kids swim.
That’s what i have. I have a B-hyve at home. I’ve never lost a signal. The Rachio team said it was my WiFi so I bought an extender. I’ve never lost signal to the Ring camera above it but the Rachio won’t stay online and doesn’t seem to keep up with desert watering in smart mode. Think I’m going to do a quick switch outGet a Rachio - they work great.
We had planned on Parker for the week but F that, 119/120 I’m out…
Thankfully we got an invite to Oxnard for a few days so 78° max!
We’ll see if we can chase down @Tank in his new hot rod
That day and my truck AC failed before vidal. Then the truck started overheating. It was a looooooong drive home.June 29, 1994. 128° recorded by the national weather service.
I was working in Havasu for Charlie, on an outboard Merc, under an umbrella. You had to have a 5 gallon bucket of water just to set your tools in. Anything black would leave burns if you leaned on it, forget about touching chrome.
The cheap hardware store thermometer read 136° that day in the shop, swampers running full blast. Jumping in the lake was like a bathtub.

I’m in Suprise(APS for power). 2500sq/ft always at 72-74. 1200sqft rv garage with a window A/C unit that hasn’t turned off for two months now(keeps it about 78-80). Highest bill has been $410. Should drop some when my mini splits are installed in the garage.I can see that for a Havasu house with a big garage. I was referring to gqchris’s AZ house.
